The drama is based on Shunzo Waku's "Akakabu Kenji" novel series about a kind public prosecutor named Shigeru Hiiragi, known for his Nagoya dialect and his love of red turnips.
Shigeru Hiiragi is a prosecutor at the Kyoto District Public Prosecutors Office. He has just been ordered to handle a kidnapping case that occurred 2 months ago. Ayumi Suzaki immediately turns herself in and it seemed as though the case was settled. However, the child who was kidnapped disappears again, this time on his own will.
