1. Worth a Watch... Maybe [Rating: 7/10]
To put things straight: I watched this for Miura Haruma. Fortunately, his performance as the genius hacker Takagi Fujimaru does not disappoint. The supporting cast excel in their respective roles; Kichise Michiko deserves mention as the sexy, manipulative and devious Orihara Maya. Narimiya Hiroki served his role as the playful trickster and math genius J well, and Matsushige Yutaka was effective as Kano. I loved the different use of camera angles and the soundtrack.

However, it's the plot that is somewhat a letdown. It tries too hard to make things seem as they are not to keep the suspense, and culminates in an anti-climax. Third-I agents appear to be so easily tricked and manipulated it's difficult to think they are the elite of Japan's Public Safety Division; I would hate to put my life in their inept hands. The terrorists are so caught up in crossing and double-crossing each other that they themselves lose the plot, and Fujii Mina's character Asada Aoi serves no purpose other than to become Fujimaru's liability - of which he already has many. Plus I cannot forgive one very major bungling error (translation may be wrong, but I trust TimeLes) - people don't go chopping off other people's limbs when a needlestick injury occurs.

That said, I still kind of enjoyed watching Third-I get themselves in the mess they shouldn't have got themselves in in the first place and the terrorist group disintegrating towards the end - so that of course, the good guys can win. There is still some element of suspense and the major 'plot twist' at the end - if you still cared about the plot.

2. Halfway through - Loving it! [Rating: 9/10]
I just finished episode 5 (I think - perhaps 6, but probably 5) and I have to say, so far, I am completely addicted. This drama is an amazing emotion-twister, and the director & writer are masters at suspense. Ebola and diseases like that I fear anyway, so this is not a show if you are looking for something light. The virus scare at the mall, in the first episode, practically made me cry - The agents were so determined to do their duty in the face of demise, and you saw the poor old ladies praying, and little kids crying... it was intense. With that said...

---WARNING ~ IF YOU READ FURTHER, THERE ARE (MAJOR) SPOILERS.---

My favorite character was Houshou Sayuri by far. (Spoiler) - I would have never in a million years seen her betrayal coming! I really liked how sensitive and yet tough & determined, plus beautiful, she was... but, then... Episode 4 (along with 1) was my favorite. Her betrayal was done epically, but.. the motives were really off-key to me. I mean, so your brother was wrongfully killed - that shouldn't make you want to work with bio-terrorists and kill a ton of innocent people with a virus crossbread! I thought it was amazing though how, despite turning into a terrorist... she was still sensitive - she made sure Fujimaru was warm while sleeping, she returned his USB stick, and she DID love Haruka. Her death scene, and Fujimaru calling her an all-around bad person (which... is a moral debate), made me cry!

But anyway, yes, you really need to watch this drama. =)

3. One of the best dramas (I think) [Rating: 8/10]
To me, this is one of the best drama this year. Miura Haruma is kind of outstanding in this drama compare to the rest of his works so far. The entire IT/hacking kind of plot creates a total different feel compare to most of the drama, it created a cool and awesome image of the IT world. Probably due to the pretty face boy Miura Haruma as the genius hacker. The virus image did gave a great impact at first showing awareness about it but soon it faded off because they just keep mentioning it through conversation after a few episode. You know, we need more of that image, actions and etc. Though at times, some parts in the series got kind of bored due to all the negotiating and conversations between the good and bad guys. A few twists here and there in the story which were kind of unexpected which is a good thing as not all drama are able to give unexpected twist. The first episode of this drama really give a impact to make audience to check this drama out however like I say, the boring parts might make audience drop this series. Character wise was the part I feel that they don't really portray how the characters really are in the manga. For example, Takagi Ryonosuke (the father of Takagi Fujimaru) should be a little more friendly or lively than how it was acted in the drama. Miura Haruma's tears in the drama gave this drama a bonus especially with his pretty face. This drama just make you keep watching till the end. I hope there will be series 2 since it hasn't really end.

4. Bloody Awful [Rating: 3/10]
It's hard to determine which side had the lower IQ, the terrorists or the people trying to catch them. At every turn the police bungled opportunities to catch the bad guys so I guess they win the moron prize. Early on an officer has disarmed and has a gun trained on a terrorist. So what does she do? Walk up to the guy and put her gun in easy reach of the terrorist. Guess what happens. Later, the location of something that could save millions of lives is found. So do they send a large troop of officers to retrieve it? No, just a couple police. Guess what happens. The terrorist J seems to have no trouble having face to face meetings with the teenage Falcon. Do the police think that maybe they should keep the Falcon under constant surveillance so they can catch the terrorist? Of course not.
And the ending was pretty lame.

If any of the "good guys" had any sense the terrorists would have been rounded up in about 30 minutes (and the show would only last 1 episode.)

The terrorists' motives are ridiculous and Narimiya Hiroki's cliched smirk and swagger performance as J gets a little tiresome.

It was pretty well directed and it looked good. It was the first time I recall seeing Ashina Sei and thought she fit her role well and will be looking for her next, hopefully better, project.

5. Great drama! [Rating: 9/10]
This was a great drama. Each episode was filled with unexpected twists and turns, and I couldn't help but watch all of it in one day because I wanted to find out who the bad guy was.

Definitely a must watch if you like suspense / thriller type drama.

SPOILER

Although I must say that i had mixed feelings about the ending. I'm not sure if I like the fact that the main culprit turned out to be one of the minor characters. The ending was kinda open ended in general (not that it's necessarily a bad thing...)

what a joy ride, i thought. i loved that there were twists almost every episode that it was hard to enjoy this drama. it wasn't too farfetch either that a high school student could be that savvy because miura haruma played his character with enough innocence and gentleness to him that you buy it. his relationship with his little sister was endearing to me. but the ending was open ended, left some questions unanswered that you can't help but hope for a second season!

I quite enjoyed watching this, the music was great and the story was quite fast paced, however when I sat back and thought about the holes in the plotline and how stupid both the terrorist and police were ..I had to downgrade my rating. Kichise Michiko's performance was enjoyable though but even that can't save this drama.

I liked it! Miura was fantastic in this! I really like his way of acting. Sato Takeru was also fantastic! Not to mention NARIMIYA HIROKI, most dramas are watchable as long as he's in it. There's such a clear gap between the skills of narimiya and the rest of the cast, he acts with his whole body and takes advantages of every scene he's in. About the story I have to say it was very thrilling and exciting and I didn't mind that the episodes were a little longer than other dramas since it wasn't boring at any point. The atmosphere is so tense that youre kept entertained and curious about the outcome and you could basically spent just one or two days watching it through. I like relationships of the characters as well, not as formal as some can be in Jdramas, it looked normal and as viewer you buy it. I guess what makes me not giving this the top grade is when it comes to the end I didn't think everything made sense, like the identity of "K", I am however surprise they didn't even give any hints about who K could be until it was exposed. Plus it could get a bit naggy with all the small messages covering the screen each and every second, plus the "hot policewomen" reminded me of a bad american thriller... But overall it was extremly thrilling (I kept thinking what if it did happen?) and very touching at some points too. I look forward to watch the second season!
2. Comments by pinkokoro [Rating: 8/10]
it kept me on the edge with all the surprises and twists which I think is its biggest plus point. If only it manages to keep the twists and surprises together with logical plot less plotholes, it would deserve more than the rating. I can't deny some of Third-I's movements somehow scream 'incompetent' example sending only few officers for an important mission when more can be dispatched to secure a mission. Other than that some of the occurances seems to have no logical reason behind it, lots of misses, and not everything is explained well at the end. Lots of question marks there. That's that, leaving all that minus points aside, the twists and surprises alone earn this 7.5 from me. It kept me on the seat impatient to know what happens next. If you love twists and surprises and you can forgive quite lots of plot holes and illogical movements of the so-called experts (third-i) then this might really interest you.

honestly i wasnt expect much from this dorama... (dont really like those terrorist+lethal virus stuff and watching Yasha in the past really made me think that japanese just cant make it work it out). Well... guess i was wrong! I still dont like those terrorist and chemical weapon stuff... but the dorama was quite enjoyable. The plot is superb.. i couldn't stop watching (well.. tha last episode was a lil bit boring comparing to the other ones). The casting is so-so.. some really good actors here but some r horrible (specially most of the terrorist group). The theme song is pretty nice but i dont think it fits the dorama very well... And lastly... The falcon CG scenes r way to lame. Still... a good dorama... if u r into those "prevent terrorists attack" stuff u will probably like it.. even i who dont like those kind of stuff kind enjoyed the dorama while it.

One of the better dramas I've seen... it actually, like, had a plot. O_O And Miura Haruma's acting was great! Talented guy, especially at crying. How can he cry so much!? Anyway, the plot was generally intriguing and had interesting twists and such. A few pieces didn't really fit for me, and I had to suspend my disbelief at parts, but I'll cut this show some slack because the plot was a hundred times more complicated than any other JDorama I've seen thus far. The main problem I have is that the ending was kind of anticlimactic and didn't resolve things to my satisfaction. But overall a brilliant show, well worth watching.
5. Comments by Ezalor [Rating: 7/10]
Although you can categorize this as "suspense", the low-level suspense and rather weak attempts of creating emotional deepness did not make this a good Dorama. It's the unpredictable and very mature story which impressed me. The story arch is excellent. The weakest point about this is that it's hard to watch the many idiotic misses on both sides which hindered them on being sucessful.
The hacing scenes were surprisingly credible, though watchable for the noob, unless most other international and much more expensive movies I've seen which showed "hacking".
6. Comments by nienna [Rating: 8/10]
I enjoyed this drama a lot. Although I didn't really like Takagi's (Haruma) friends. There just isn't enough scenes of them being together to trigger any emotions in me when hide died. It was just all too sudden!!
J (Narimiya) is just so incredible. I totally love him as the bad guy in this drama. Maybe he should be given more crazy roles like this. Hahaha...

I totally got fooled into thinking Otoya was K but it turned out differently. The real K had me speechless and I had never expected K to be that person. *shudders*

Absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend it to anyone. The cast were perfect the storyline was engaging and suspenseful, there were twists around every corner and all questions were tied up nicely and answered by the finale.
It's a roller coaster of emotions but it is such a wonderful drama. Hats off to all the cast.
My favourite character was Kirishima Goro played by Yoshizawa Hasashi he was so likable to me and he and the rest of the cast kept me thoroughly enthralled =D

And the award for most inconclusive drama ending goes too... Bloody Monday! It seriously needs a movie of some kind to tie up all the loose plot threads still running wild and free. Otherwise, great drama! Very suspenseful and never short of twists. Narimiya Hiroki was downright SEXY, scary, and adorable as J while Sato Takeru lent an air of downright coolness. I am in love with these two boys! XD
9. Comments by EstherM [Rating: 7/10]
Captivating action series! Fast paced with a whole lot of twists, I can highly recommend this suspense series. Good performances by Miura Haruma and Narimiya Hiroki (whoLs always at his best as baddie) but donLt expect realism and episode six is a total filler. I also found the actress who played Takagi FujimaruLs highschool friend highly annoying. Light entertainement = Little logic.

Oh my!! Too many holes that distracted my attention to enjoy this dorama. The impression that I got is they are trying to have "24" as a reference, though there's no point to compare these two. I realized that I kept saying "Ignore the bugs! Ignore the bugs!" when watching this show. However, I still managed to finish it and found it ok...Maybe this kind of story is indeed my cup of tea.
11. Comments by Shindou [Rating: 8/10]
Meh.....got off to a good start with an intriguing storyline but the ending was not quite up to the rest of the drama.....finished a bit weaker than it could have. The plot twists with all the intrigue definitely helped build up a lot of suspense and kept me interested right to the end. A decent drama but definitely could be improved on - not a bad dorama to end 2008 off..

The best thing about this drama was Miura Haruma. I loved his acting. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in more roles in the future. Unfortunately his Father didn't have much emotion which was disappointing. Narimiya Hiroki was also disappointing as the bad guy or more like annoying. But nevertheless, worth watching. Loved the flumpool song.
13. Comments by Mimori [Rating: 9/10]
Very good series, though at times the solutions were unfeasible and I felt that the ending was left quite open ended, but it still managed to keep me wanting more. That and Miura is so cute and Narimiya so sexy. They really did a good job with their roles, the other actors as well. Plus it was funny to hear them speak Russian. xD

For me, I loved this drama. I already waiting for Miura's drama since I watched him in Koizora.. Miura can give different face from Gokusen n Koizora. I like the plot too and all the character.. This drama made me curious about how they gonna end this in 11th episodes... Even the first episodes was already surprised me...
15. Comments by marspeach [Rating: 9/10]
It wasn't perfect and yes there were silly/boring/leaps of logic parts but I enjoyed it and found it really suspenseful. Another one where you have to be prepared for anyone to be a traitor. Miura Haruma is still too much of a pretty boy but I found his character's best friend to be really hot for some reason.
16. Comments by Patazilla [Rating: 9/10]
A very inventive dorama, with a quite unique storyline which contains a lot of exciting twists and turns and never is boring. The characters are simply amazing, even though there are a whole lot of them, you wouldn't want to dispense with any of them. They all have a lot of depth.
17. Comments by Terryb [Rating: 7/10]
This show started out great, hacking, conspiracies, terrorists and a virus what do you want more? but somehow lost it's magic after the first few episodes for me.

Kichise Michiko however was stunning. I love how she can play the villain with such an evil yet seducing smile.

I didn't know what to expect at first, but it ended up being really good and entertaining, with lots of twists and a different storyline. Miura Haruma's acting seems to be getting better as well. The ending was left pretty open, so I'm hoping there's more.

A drama that is definitely worth watching.Good suspense and mystery.I didn't manage to guess the leader of the terrorists until the very end which is something that doesn't happen very often. Not forgetting to mention,I love Narimiya Hiroki in here! J suki!

It's a decent drama, but it's a little depressing for me. The plot really throw me off a couple of times, which exciting. Miura Haruma was the reason why I watched and I liked him in there. His acting is admirable. I will definitely look out for his work.

Didn't expect much out of it yet still found myself waiting in front of my TV every week to see the rest. It was quite depressing to some extent but very realistic to another and also quite actual.

Nice cast of both new and veteran actors!

Really awesome dorama. Very exiting, but in the end it began feeling kinda long and it got a bit harder harder for me to keep interested in like the last 2 episodes.
But still... very very well made dorama, with a lot of twists in the story.

Had to vote for it now I have finished watching it, it is just such an amazing show. The suspense and twists are just so addictive and it has such an interesting storyline.
I thought it was all well acted and all of the characters were well developed. Haruma acted Fujimaru very well, better than I expected he was the perfect choice for the role and his little sister was adorable. My favourite character was Kirishima Goro on charge of the running of 'Third I' his character went through a roller coaster of emotions and Yoshizawa Hisashi played him so well, he was the character I favoured the most out of the show, but the rest of the cast aren't to be overlooked. Kano I took a liking too after the 2nd ep even though he has a rough personality, deep down he's a nice guy. I really liked Minami too and she's so pretty!
Well done to all the bad guys too, J and Maya were particularly annoying, but that's perfect for a bad guy and K just took the cake, but I really didn't like the character of K if I am being honest :P
Anyway a truly amazing drama! Hopefully there will be a special or something. I shall probably watch this again soon and have already recommended it to most of my friends =D

Its very different from the usual jdorama plots. The suspense kills me, and the acting is very nice. I really like all the actors (Miura, Sato, and Kichise especially), so its amazing for me.
