1. Poor Remake Unfortunately... [Rating: 4/10]
There is something missing in this drama. Is it a bit Manga-ish or it's not engaging? But I can pin point some problems: The only actors that hold up the characters in the Korean Version of 'Hotelier' are Oikawa Mitsuhiro and Kohmoto Masahiro. Otherwise, bad casting! For example: Aya is too young for this role. The character that she's playing is suppose to be older. She also fail to show the complicated emotion that she falls in love with Masakazu but she still has feelings for Ogata at the same time. Another bad casting: Saeko didn't do a good job to hold up 'Kim Yun Hee' character. She doesn't even show she's mature and smart at all which her character suppose to be. I don't feel that Ogata is capable and had warm personality or likable. Also this J-version seems like rushing and the storyline is too straightfoward except for all the plots that follow the K-version. There is not space to develop the characters.

If you want to watch Hotelier, I recommend the Korean version. Although it may be old and slower, the characters are more developed, the storyline is much complete, and the actors/actresses are much better in protraying their roles and emotions.

2. Nice Acting, but the ending stuck it over... [Rating: 8/10]
I liked this drama because there was quite a bit of mystery between characters, but the love "square" was so ridiculous, and then the ending just made everything spin around back to happiness that it made the story flat. Peiyon Jun did not get much of an appearance in this drama even though it was a Korean story. Ueto Aya was great in this, but she still seems pretty young to be enthralled in types of character relationships such as this. The end result kind of left me at "there should be more development." The story ended too fast and the result was too predictable, it needs to be refilmed to make it less predictable.

3. Another poor remake [Rating: 6/10]
Oikawa Mitsuhiro holds up this show in his version of the Bae Young Jun role. Aya..... ouch! Another weak performance on her part. Yet the show was strangely compelling, I only skipped one ep.
My recommendation is to watch the korean version which rocked.

4. Enjoyable [Rating: 8/10]
I enjoyed this drama. I never saw the Korean version so I can't compare and contrast I can only go off of this drama. I thought it was a bit predictable and the ending was not all I had hoped but the characters were interesting and the journey was fun.

This series was too boring!! The actress Saeko has the most irritating voice equivalent to nails on a chalkboard. I only watched the very beginning and couldn't watch the remainder.

this show was definitely barely watchable....the only upside was the fact that aya proved to me that shes just not a comedy show actress...the casting was pretty good with the exception of a few, as was the acting (oikawa did great as always)... but the story was predictable the ending was terrible....and also, whats the point of having that korean guy on the cover of the show...he was not a main character at all...it was more like he was a cameo, i didnt get that at all...maybe it was a ploy to get more people to watch the show...i was shocked at how bad this show was.....it started slow, then at episode 3 i thought ok this show might be good, then episode 6 was the climax, after that it was an epic fail....aya i love you but, not in this show, maybe ill watch the korean version to see how its done...4/10

The drama is about a hotel at risk of losing it's ownership. Aya Ueto played a very elegant and beautiful character, and as always, did an amazing performance. The romance was hard to grasp and I did not like how it was portrayed. There were too many twists which gave an uneasy feeling between the character's romantic development which became very disappoint at the end. The general ending, however, was great since it did not leave me hanging and was very cheerful. Aya Ueto's Namida no Niji fit perfectly and made the drama more enjoyable. I have not seen the Korean version of this, but more or less this is the type of drama that would be enjoyed if you're a Aya Ueto fan.

First of all... Do they really had to show Yon~sama so many times?? I know he got famous in Japan after Winter Sonata... but C'mon... there's a limit of how many times u can show the EXACTLY same scene in one dorama....

Nways... Hotelier (Hoteriaa) is an OK dorama... one of those that u can easily forget after watching it.... Eventough the casting is good... it fails on adding something spetacular to the dorama....

And that LOVE-"PENTAGON" is relly annoying... it almost made the dorama look like a Mexican soap opera...

I watch the Korean version but couldn't recall much coz i was just a kid then...in this version, i love it...Aya is just too beautiful in this..storyline could have been better...definitely enjoying every episode.(the hugging scenes melted me..^^)

well, Ueto Aya is the best, her acting is amazing but I think that this role didn't make her shine as much as some other roles..still, I give it 9 points because I like romantic stories and I kinda liked Oikawa Mitsuhiro as well^^

This drama is about a girl that works in a hotel having a extreme good manners and always solve several problems for the customer. No matter how difficult ,she will always wearing a bright smiley face to greet the customers. :)

Ueto Aya's acting is so stiff. She's terrible at portraying any emotion other then happiness. Other then that, the acting was pretty good and while the plot was a little predictible, it was a cute story.

It's much better than the Korean version.. Short and straightforward. Great Casting and storyline. Ueto Aya is so cute in this one eventhough she acts as a serious character.. still i love her!

It was an average drama, the story is really good, although the feelings between the main characters didn't really seem to be real. Oikawa though was really handsome and stylish in his outfits.

I kept comparing this dorama with the Korean version. The story was much simple than the Korean while Korean version was so romantic and entertaining. However, I like Ueto Aya. So stylish.

Can tell it's the remake of a Korean drama :P but that's certainly not a bad thing in my opinion hee hee I really enjoyed it and just watched it in 1 go :) some very likable characters =D

Quite dramatic dorama, it's sometimes interesting but sometimes is so boring, anyway I won't watch it again but it was not so bad although there are better doramas than this one

I'm watching this now. Curious to see the original Korean version, which im sure it is better. The cast seems overwhelmingly great but something too cheesy and not done right...
14. Comments by Kirari Ililah [Rating: 8/10]
Lovely love, but ending spoiled the moments. Too fast, not enough of Peiyon Jun on his character, and there was a lack in the middle story development as the ending just CAME.

watched a few eps here and there.. wasn't too bad, but ueto aya really fails to engage me. the other actors are also just blah, not interesting enough.

Gave up on this one. Sure has somewhat a story to it. Sure Aya's acting in it was ok. All in all, it was just boring to me. Stopped after ep 4

i love it!! Even though there were some parts where the bad guy is really bad but at least, the ending didn't turn out too badly.

just an average show, may be because i've watched the korean version, i don't have feeling that i am watching japanese drama.
20. Comments by Eve [Rating: 6/10]
A poor remake. Aya is a weak choice. Oikawa Mitsuhiro and his usual riveting performance hold up the show.
21. Comments by hananako [Rating: 6/10]
The korean actor on the cover is just for promotional strategy... emm, anyway... interesting story.. ;)
22. Comments by irwinner [Rating: 6/10]
The story feels slow and uninteresting, though its much faster in the second half.
