1. The female version of Beach Boys, oh and change th [Rating: 8/10]
Quite a feel-good and easy-going drama. The after-taste is just like having had a plate of cold soba or a day of walking around the mountain - refreshing and relaxing. The actors are great too (well, except Fukada Kyoko aka Fatty, she is still the one-face-girl). Iijima Naoko as the older sister Hana is perfect. She brings out the character like nobody can (especially when she tries to hide her own sorrow to make others happy). The parents played by Chii Takeo and Yoshida Hideko are sooooo funny, I especially like Yoshida as the mother, so modern and hip (the Japanese version of a former hippy mother, :) ). Tamayam Tetsuji did a great job too as Junpei, the guy who always liked Akari and only tries to make her happy. The gaijin actor who played Keith Corbet, is a little, let's say, low on the acting side and his Japanese is quite mono and horrible as well. However, his ignorant look and boring personality is what fits the character (what do you expect a gaijin character to be like in a Japanese drama other than a gimick and a source to be poked fun at...well, serve them right, look at how they portray Asians in their TV shows and movies). Oh and the fact that he is actually Australian even though the writers tell the audience he is American, not that they would be able to tell the difference.

Overall, a very relaxing fun drama, kind of reminded me of Beach Boys. Not as good, but more exciting and funnier. Watch this, even though Fukada Kyoko is in it, watch it for Iijima and all the other great actors.

2. Not bad. [Rating: 8/10]
Although fukada kyoko's acting has still not improved during the years, the storyline is still acceptable. Ejima naoko gave a terrific acting in the show. She is sometimes funny. Perhaps she can try to take on a comedy next time.

This is a sweet story about two sisters who live in a Mountain village on the outskirts of Tokyo looking for the love of their lives.

The younger girl (Akari) meets and falls for a medical student, who suffers from amnesia following a car accident. He loses all memories of her. However, she sticks by him and eventually they fall in love all over again.

The older girl (Hana) is pursued by Keith, a white American played by Mark Condon, though judging from his accent I think he might be Australian. They play emotional seesaw by she first rejecting him then falling for him, he then transfering back to the States, she then deciding to marry a Japanese, he then quitting his job and returning to Japan to be with Hana.

I wanted to give this an 7.5 as I didn't really like the role of Keith but he gets better as the dorama continues. The chemistry between Iijima & Kyoko is not bad but storywise, I prefer Iijima's part as Kyoko's part of the dorama is quite simple and straightforward. Not a bad dorama to watch. I love the theme song by Love Psychedelico... ^_^

A surprisingly good dorama. I enjoyed that storyline of two sisters with a huge age difference has to face love in their own term. The message is to listen to your heart. Naoko Iijima and Kyoko Fukada both looks great in the show. Fukada lost a lot of weight and now she looks more like a lead. lijima is so pretty!

A very basic story about staying true to your heart. It had some flaws in that the story overstepped its bounds in terms of reality, and that it dropped characters in and out whenever it pleased for some really over-dramatic scene it needed, but it's occasionally funny and cute, so a 7.

So far so good. I laughed at how they treated the 'gaijin' so harshly. In any case, both the female leads are great, plus there is also some extra material with the foreigner. I only watched one episode so far, but i will definitely watch more once they are released.
