After a just average "Shinsengumi' in 2004 and a disaster with "Yoshitsune" last year NHK tried to catch lightning in a bottle again and went with a knock off of "Toshiie to Matsu". However, Yankumi ain't Nanako and Kamikawa ain't Karasawa. The best characters were Akira Emoto as Hideyoshi and Toshiyuki Nishida (great as usual!) as Tokugawa. Also, special mention to Hiromi Nagasaku, totally evil as Yodo! |

This show is great... It has Nakama Yukie in it (Chiyo) as the wife of a spearman named Yamauchi Kazutoyo and they are both trying to live during the war age with Nobunaga as Kazutoyo's leader. This show is truly great and yu will learn alot about Japanese History in the 1500's-1600's if yu watch it |
