1. Funny and...that's about it. [Rating: 6/10]
What got me interested in this drama was the Okinawa Sea Turtle thing which is just so hilarious! Its a funny drama, no doubt about that. But after the first few episodes, the jokes start getting repetitive and start getting lame. Makes you go "Okay, I've heard this before, something new please?" Acting skills aren't that great, but I suppose that's not really important in a drama that's not so serious. Each episode is basically the same thing, learn skills, get told its not good enough, improve on skills, go competition, freak out at fish eyes, win competition. Watch it if you just want some laughs.

yo..Sushi Ouji! Gyo!
This drama is so hilarious! Funny+action~~it have every package as a jdorama. I watch because of Koichi is in it, but the whole drama change my mind. First and second episode, it was boring for me..but the way Koichi make the Okinawa-turtle lead things reallly make me wanna stick with this drama until the end. Start from the 3rd episode, I feel like...'eee..this drama is not really about his journey to be Sushi Ouji but..journey to meet his mother'.
Being a great Sushi Ouji while young, Maizu totally a great sushi maker until the death of his father and his grandfather in front of him. He leaves sushi because of that but then return back, and journey around Japan in order to improve his talent and by the same time, to find his mother. I got stunned by the way Koichi act when his eye-fish-phobia come, with that kind of hair and eyes..wow! (You have to watch if you want to know why). The middle and the ending of the drama is good..and I love the way director make some of the scene looks like real with some kind of effects. Bravo!
The actors..I think Koichi have done a good job as Maizu Tsukasa. He still a great actor, didn't change even its been ages since he appear on jdorama. But I still prefer Koichi in stage plays..Yuichi impressed me with his acting~~a future actor is ready now. Even some part he looks nervous, his cool and funny part still maintain. haha...I love this guy! Kato Natsuki, she such a pretty girl. Different from shefs in Hana Yori Dango 2..surprise me; she can act as a funny girl. Haha..
Sushi Ouji is a quite nice drama.. you have to watch it until the end..and you will love the character of Maizu Tsukasa and Kawahara Tarou (^_^)

Quite a nice dorama.... "Sushi Oji" use the same idea of "KiraKira Kenshui" one main character going under the guidance of many instructors. But unlikely KiraKira, Sushi Oji dont waste time over trivial things (e.g.: support character's history... On KiraKira there's even one whole episode just for one of the instructors..) Well... afterall Sushi Oji is 3 episodes shorter than KiraKira.
Nways... the casting is pretty lame and the 2 JE's guys dont add much for this dorama. while i was watching the dorama i keep asking myself y would they cast "famous" actors as support roles... i mean... they totally steals my attencion from the main actor (for petes mama's sake... its been ages since Koichi~kun last appeared on a dorama... If it was not for the KinKi Kids i probably wouldnt even remember him).
Nways... except for the casting... Sushi Oji is a quite nice dorama imo....

LMAO. I watched this because I was curious about Nakamaru of Kat-tun's first drama and was surprised at how credible he was. DomoKo was hilarious as Sushi Oji in a really slapstick way. The writers managed to weave some sort of esoteric philosophy into sushi preparation that was over the top. Nari-chan was hotter than hot as the younger twin even if he just showed up in the last 3 episodes. I'm never gonna look at sushi the same way again after this drama and I tell people everything I know about sushi I learned from watching Sushi Oji. Can't wait for the Movie. Oh did I mentioned I finished the series in one day?Lol.

So hilarious!!! ^^

I was quite surprised to see Domoto Koichi in a drama to start with (had been over 5 years now) but in the adaptation of Sushi Oji! AWESOME!!! ^^ The characters were awesome, the acting was so-so but that`s how it should be for this kind of drama anyway. The effect were pretty cool! ^^

I still prefer seeing Domoto Koichi in stage plays because I think that`s where he shines the most, but thumbs up! ^^ He gave a really interesting light to Maizu Tsukasa! ^^

Hahaha, I have to say the lead's turtle thing is reeeeeeally hilarious. But that's only because I only watched about five minutes of the entire first episode, and not even the first five minutes. Other than his turtle thing, I personally didn't find anything else interesting in the story.

Jinnenryou secret weapon is Okinawa's Sea Turtle. Gyo! Sushi Oji! That Sea Turtle lead was so funny. Nice drama about sushi competition. Tsukasa (Koichi) and Taro (Maru) bakaness makes this dorama fun to watch.

hhmm... Koichi I love the fact that he can still act dorky and still have keep his princely charm in this character. An entertaining drama to watch and not to forgot Nari was in a few episodes too.

this dorama.. i started it expecting nothing but was still disappointed with it. it may have good looking people, but that can't even salvage it. probably one of the worst i've seen so far.

one of the very few dramas I watched in fast forward. doumoto-san is quite charismatic but apart from that, I only enjoyed the food.

A terrible drama. I just can't stand it. And poor Koichi...having to receive such a lousy script.

Some say it's really too much of exaggeration but to me this is a really good drama to watch for relaxing. I think Koichi acts better in this than he did in REMOTE.
