Synopsis
Sakurai plays the host of a live TV quiz program. On the show, contestants who achieve seven correct answers win ten million yen, and those who get eight correct answers will have one of their wishes granted by the TV network. But while the questions start off innocently enough, as the game progresses, the questions gradually delve into the contestants' past crimes or indiscretions, presenting them with the dilemma of having to confess their guilt in order to win.

1. Not Bad [Rating: 6/10]
The first episode is interesting but the plot doesn't start to progress until the fourth episode. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, parts of the puzzle are revealed and this makes you think again. However, after all the build up and suspense, the climax was a little disappointing. Overall, not a bad watch.

Yes! Only ended up watching this cos I was bored searching streaming sites and saw a poster for this, it looked interesting so I caught the first ep. And my gosh it's good ^^ wow I really loved it, the whole idea of a game show where you get the prize if you confess, very nice ^^ I thought Sho as Kamiyama was brilliant I just loved his character so much and it was like he was playing 2 different characters on and off stage. Yu did a great job of making me hate him for the majority of the show :P but I'll forgive him. The supporting cast were great too and it was good to see the leads from the original with a nice lil cameo ^^
Would definitely recommend this one =D

While very similar to the first season so far, I have to give two thumbs up for Sakurai Sho for improving his acting skills a lot in the past years. The characters are much more well developped than in the first season, looking forward to see its ending! ^_^

**After watching: This was very entertaining and kept me at the edge of my seat everyweek. It created a lot of speculations between my friends and I and it was very fun. Good astory development, good pace and damn the boys' acting skills have become much much better.. and well.. the crying scenes are kinda gross but more realistic..

What I personally didn't like about The Quiz Show 2 was the mass of additional characters. To me they just seemed like fillers. Sure, the episodes are longer but I preferred the minimalistic first season. Also, knowing the first season, some of the surprise was taken already. Still, the concept is interesting and unusual, so I would recommend it to everyone.

What I found interesting was that The Quiz Show seemed to have been a surprise hit because the second season obviously had a higher budget.

This drama is SO realistic. I found myself both moved and disturbed many times during the series. As expected from Arashi's Sakurai, his acting is good. The story is about a television quiz show that promises to grant the dreams of the constestants. As long as a contestant answers all 8 questions correctly, one of their dreams will be granted. The rules may sound simple, but when the contestants get further into the questions, the dark pasts they try so hard to protect get revealed.

I watched TQS1 a year ago and I liked it. I also liked TQS2 and was highly surprised with Sho's and Yu's performances, but Maya Miki was a bit disappoining, way too forced. The revenge thing was not strong enough in my opinion, and again, I doubt a show like that would stay airing for so long, but hey, this is fictional! So it was entertaining and the story, surprising. Both seasons are really recommendable.

the story though is the same type of 1st season, is not as dark as the first.
This season has a greater cast, even the guests are great. Frankly speaking, along the way, find it quite normal becos haf watched the 1st. but the greatest plus point is really with the last 2 episodes.. great twist n ending. No doubt, Sho n Yoko had did a splendid job.

i'm not into this kind of genre. but it's nice and really interesting. i think sho could give a bit more. yuu surprised me. i wonder if he'll be a sensational actor. i find the billing a bit unfair since i think both the characters of yuu and sho are equal and both have been executed well but then sho is a sempai. the song is nice.

Basically the same plot with the first one... Sho's acting is definitely improved than his previous works... Yoko is the one surprised me the most... I guess we can't really figure out what lies in his mischievous mind after all.. four thumbs up for Yoko... *sigh* I guess bad guy role will be stuck on him now...

SHO~!!! His acting is godly!! and all that stuff he had going on with Yokoyama :O!!! SO awesome!! I couldn't even believe it was them playing those characters and the whole drama is so mysterious and WOW! Each episode pretty much sucked my in more and more!! all in all htis was a VERY good drama :)

i find this story quite weird, i didnt understand the whole story from beginning, even though the story become clearer in the end, but i still dont understand the reason Honma do all the things in the quiz show, is it just because his twisted mind?
but i do enjoyed sakurai's performance

simply watched it because of sho...and that wasn't enough to keep me enterteined. the story is utter nonsense, the acting... okay what acting? No, not a good show. Arashi or Kanjani 8 fans will probably enjoy this all others should just watch season 1.

great show...it got more interesting with each episode...yokoyama yu acted his ass off in this, give him more roles please...sakurai sho was a acting his ass off too, great line up, some things annoyed me here and there but all in all i enjoyed this

This drama had so much more potential, but ended up to be a mediocre drama. I was quite disappointed by the plot and the ending. I thought the reason for the revenge was somewhat weak...

Sakurai Sho's acting certainly improved though.

I honestly was rather confused through a fair bit of this drama but it was still entertaining. I really liked Sakurai and Yokoyama working together. It was almost mesmerizing at times. Kinda freaky drama that keeps your heart pumping.

This season is the first one i watched than the 1st season! i think this season is the best.. the story line is well organized and sakurai sho sure a great actor!! yokoyama yuu impressed me in the last episode!!

Mystery/vendetta drama which unfolds slowly. The storyline is very unrealistic and the first 4, 5 episodes are a bit repetitive but then it really gets entertaining! Decent acting and a lovely Maya Miki.

Haven't watched first season but it's not necessary to enjoying this drama. Interesting from very beginning, love how mystery is developing. A lot of great guest appearances. Quite disappointing ending.

It's just a copy-past of the first season. The main actors are just meh. I didn't like the acting of Sakurai and Yokoyama, and wtf is doing Maya Miki here? Bring back Tazaki and Yamanobe!

A bit repetitive but with an interesting plot, Sakurai rocks in this dorama!!! Not worth a 10 but if you are bored and don't know what to watch and you are an Arashi you may give it a try
20. Comments by tachan [Rating: 7/10]
1st half = repetitive, 2nd half = good! Very similar to the first one, but the story is lighter, the cast is better, and the budget is bigger. I like both seasons for different reasons.

Waiting for the last 2 episodes to be subbed but the storyline is addicting and pulls you in so that you're not sure what will happen next but you can't wait to see!

Yoko, simply Yooooko, the bad-ass-director Honma! Perfect! Anf Sho was also a great MC Kamiyama

A very strange yet addictive show. Would love to watch Yokoyama in more dramas.

simply watched it for the sake of sho...the story itself is rather nonsensical.
29. Comments by katsup [Rating: 8/10]

Had to chose this as one of my faves after watching it. Such a fantastic idea for the show and the casting was perfect. I just really wanna buy the boxset now ^^
The acting was good and the main 2 characters improved dramatically through out the show. The emotions shown between Kamiyama and Honma at the end were just amazing. The supporting cast are not to be overlooked either the characters such as Saejima and Reina, all the staff, even the guests added perfectly to the show ^^
