Brilliantly scripted and superbly acted by the whole cast (with particular mentions for the leads, Koizumi Kyoko and Nakai Kiichi, who are absolutely great! Chapeau!), this is without any doubt one of the best doramas I've ever seen, seriously! It even reminded me a bit of the wonderful series of movies "Kazoku Wa Tsurai Yo!" for the general atmosphere and for the adorable craziness (and at the same time, adorable "normality", as weird as that may sound) of the families portrayed in those movies as well as in this dorama. Great music, too (most of all, the piano piece reminiscing of Erik Satie's Gymnopédies). Instant top10 of my personal all-time faves! Perfect 10! ^_______^

Best drama for quite a long time! An all-round brilliant and heartwarming drama about the lovelife of a woman in her mid-40s. I usually don't watch dramas about older people, but this one really felt like a great watch even for younger people. I think it deals with careers and love in a way which is interesting and in no way old-fashioned. The main character is in no way old-fashioned, either. A very fresh approach to an increasingly significant theme. I'd almost say it's a must watch! (There's also quite a variety of interesting characters and plot-lines! Nice pace, nice soundtrack, nice directing, nice characters, nice atmosphere, nice story, nice actors, nice everything!)

What can I really say about this series? I love a fast-talking show and the chemistry between the cast is unparalleled by anything else I've seen in the past five years, maybe longer. Nakai Kiichi is a fantastic actor and he and Koizumi Kyoko played off each other well. I suppose my only regret with this series is that the two of them were so good together that it was disappointing not to see their romance begin until the very end. It just wasn't a satisfying conclusion to the series, but I have to give the show credit for showing that small degree of realism and sticking to the promise of its title; her next love will always be her "second-to-last love."

Gobbled up all 11 episodes of Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi in 3 nights. Staying up until wee hours in the morning. If it wasn't for the need to sleep, I would have finished it in one.

Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining. My favourite parts are the banter between Nakai Kiichi and Koizumi Kyoko, and when the Nagakura siblings get together. Having only seen Nakai Kiichi in serious roles, his performance really surprised me. He stole the show for me. Some of the scenes are so funny, I haven't enjoyed a recent drama so much for quite a while. One of the best in recent years.

4th ep. - young scriptwriter, Kuriyama Haruka-sensei with the three older ladies ~too funny! Koizumi and Nakai's arguments bit on the annoying side but 8th ep., it got so hot&heated...couldn't stop grinning. :) End of 8th the funniest!! chu!! <3 Credit to the writers some really funny lines in this drama. Good cast. Small knock - if you've seen 1ep, you've seen several ~you get some repeated stuff. The SP is more a continuation~ like extra episodes, more of the same.

Lovely family drama set in the even lovelier town of Kamakura. Great actors and interesting side characters, but not entirely cliche free! But the observations made about life, age, death, loneliness and love are in my opinion accurate, and that's a big achievement for a drama.

Sort of a cross between "Kekkon dekinai" and "Around 40". Nakai was great and I really liked Iijima and Uchida, but for some reason Koizumi's character kind of rubbed me the wrong way. It was still a very enjoyable drama.

The drama has a certain charm that's hard to explain, and an innocence that's usually in teen dramas. The chemistry between the two main leads is very very good and the supporting cast are superb as well. Nice drama!

One of the best from the last few years, interesting characters and storylines, solid acting and well paced, never a dull moment, highly recommended.

So nice to see a drama about people my own age. A very charming "slice of life" drama set in a very charming location.

I actually thought that this drama would be better ... fell short of my expectations though everyone else loved it.
