Synopsis
Fourth year university student Sawada Takuto is having a tough time looking for a job. The eldest son of the director of a hospital, Takuto's parents had expected him to become a doctor, but they began to focus their hopes on his younger brother, Rikuto, at some stage during his junior high school years. Although Takuto is popular and good at befriending females, he has no confidence that he will be loved and thus avoids deep emotional involvement with anyone.

One day, he is informed that he does not have long to live because he is suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), an incurable, progressive neurodegenerative disease. Takuto, who had given only vague thought to his goals in life, starts to explore what is left of his life and live with a positive attitude.

1. Not a Drama for the Weak and Unemotional [Rating: 9/10]
The story starts out as something mysterious, you wonder what the main focus will be about and already curious as to how it ends. Through this story, it is not just about the love between two characters, but the triumphs a boy must experience in order to live the normal life he desires. However, he also realizes that because of his condition, he shouldn't be afraid to rely on others around him too.

One can become emotionally involved with this story because you are watching someone suffer and never thought that this could happen to you too. In addition, it is not just himself that has personal issues to face, everyone else does too. It is a story that can make you realize you have to appreciate more and not ignore touch situations.

The ending to this story is one that was still played well, but I feel that there should be more to it. It ends on a nice note, but not the note I would expect it to go. Sometimes when you have a story with such heavy emotions, you expect it to end in a similar way, or at least make you realize more about things. It stills teaches the viewer in the end, the things to appreciate.

Miura does a great job conveying the story of his character and all chemistry between actors felt believable. This is important to have in this kind of story because any fragment of off rhythm could upset the emotional message this drama tries to place. Well done!

One of the most meaningful dramas I have ever seen. Miura Haruma wowed me, he was fantastic with his portrayal of a young man dealing with ALS. I just loved how he made his goals one day at a time and lived in the present. A very moving and inspiring drama.

Once again, Miura draws me into a drama so deep it makes me think about life and appreciate it. Not a story everyone could handle, or maybe understand to an emotional level, but Miura does so well playing his character!

Very well done on an issue that could be hard to deal with. Miura really great and a good job by Tabe as well.

Economic reality + love story fiction. I haven't been emotional on a drama since the "Stairway to Heaven."
