Synopsis

Abandoned by his mother and having had to fend for himself, Ryuu is one of many Japanese youths that have turned to a life of petty crime in order to survive in Japanese society. Life on the streets has given him a tough exterior, but it is his kind heart and his dislike for what he has become that wins over a local beauty and helps him take his first steps towards a better life. When an overzealous and less than ethical police inspector fingers Ryuu for a crime he didn't commit, he is resigned to accept his fate. However, help emerges from an unexpected source to give him the strength to fight for his freedom: a victim of one of his past crimes.

1.	*ao no jidai~hikari wo mirareruSpoiler* [Rating: 9/10]** The two songs of this dorama are...beautiful, dicpicts the emotions, the strong feelings as messages so when...esp. 'Porushka Pore' .everytime i hear it..it reminds of how Ryu was not accepted. Okina's character Akane is at least a female role who fights for herself and Ryu, not the usual damsel in distress..admirable when she tries to protect Ryuwhat the drama seems to be tragic, touched with a sorrowful and gloomy tone..yet has a beautiful,positive ending. I love the characters and how they have deveoloped and changed in the end....Friendship, love , tragedy, trust, mistrust? hatred?and HOPE... this drama sets me to think. Of course, am I getting to long winded. I love this dorama. Tsuyoshi actually convincingly as Ryu, Megumi, ( in a role that i feel is very different from he rest), as Akane is one of the female characters that I admire. There is something abt her.Ryoko as her sister is GREAT, her internal conflicts, desperations to get away from her past..she brings out the unexpected of the dorama..having said to much, Ryu's friends are Great too..true friends we can see from here, One last word : Awesome!!

2.	keichi haruna [Rating: 8/10] i like the character that call keichi haruna...maybe many of people like ryu but for me i like him because of his special's personality....this drama have many character and have a moral value too....this drama ask people not to boycott/hurt people because it'll give pressure to him/her then will cause the bad thing....

3.	sad~ [Rating: 8/10] the story and the life tsuyoshi plays is incredibly touching and convincing. u see lives of people u never seen before and that was really surprising. i liked it altho the part where the lawyer had the split personalities didn't strike to me as plausible enuff. all in all a typical tsuyoshi dorama, alwayz good ^^

4.	Tsuyoshi Saiko!!! [Rating: 8/10] tsuyoshi excels in this role as the rebelious but actually kind-at-heart ryuu. he seems to do well in these kind of roles, like as takeshi in wakaba no koro. another character that is outstanding is andou masanobu's character, yuli...worth a watch definitely!!!!

Comments by dnie [Rating: 8/10] the first dorama where i first set my eyes on DoTsuyo...and frankly, i dont like him that much...but this story is good..it is about teenage angst and the multiple personality disease..not him of coz. His lawyer, Kamiya Takikawa. DoTsuyo plays Ryu, a juvenile delinquent who wants to be good after much motivation fm his lawyer. But his lawyer has multiple personality and turns evil one night and vowed to kill Ryu..hmm..but the ending is spectacular..worth watching..

Comments by enen_shun [Rating: 8/10] i watched this drama really long ago .. when i was around 12 yrs old (1999) ~~ can't really remember the storyline anymore ... only merely rmb Domoto Tsuyoshi acted as a really cool character ... being misunderstood that he was a bad teenager ... the female lead was his gf in the drama ... haha ... tat was all i remembered .... but theme song was very nice till i went to bought my ever first KinKi Kids album (C Album) .. lolx ~

1.	Aki This is the very show that got me head over heels into Doumoto Tsuyoshi. I had watched this dorama more than 4-5 times and his acting in there is fabulous. No wonder he won the best actor award for the season of that dorama. However, I rated this dorama a 8 and not 9 because while the chemistry between the two talented artistes, Doumoto Tsuyoshi and Okina Megumi is great, the later part of the plot goes kind of imbalanced to focus on the bengoshi's (lawyer) spilt personality problem, neglecting the main plot somewhat. Nevertheless, a good watch, dorama-fans! Worth all my thumbs up!!
2.	toHeart_music Wow.I was impressed by Tsuyoshi's acting...or rather..everyone's...I like this drama alot..Guess I don't see much of such dramas now..but it makes me feel alot for the characters in it..and I like both songs from the drama...'Ao no jidai' and Porushka Pore'...
