This dorama was awesome, if it wasn�Lt for the last 3 boring episodes(the marijuana ones) i would give this a 9.
I was shocked when i watched the special and discovered that this was based in a true story(at the end of the special we get a footage from the real teacher while retiring from education).
Yoshimori(Takenouchi Yutaka) was awesome, i loved the ways he used to take the place of Iwasaki sensei(Harada Yoshio) as the homeroom teacher.
I hated Kanae�Ls character, i was really pissed off when everyone forgave her after all she did to Nanae, and after that she allways acted as the class leader and that really pissed me off.
It was funny to watch japanese young actors in their young days, actors like: Hayami Mokomichi, Ichihara Hayato, Ichikawa Yui, Ishigaki Yuma and Koike Teppei.
The special was really awesome, better than the dorama itself imo, it stars Sakurai Shou and Matsuda Shota, a really yankee story. |

hmm i wonder why but i liked this teacher-student relationship drama far far more than let's say, gokusen or gachibaka. i guess it was because this drama felt a bit more real to me; the main character (teacher) was not a rare kind of breed that stood out from the rest; he was persistent, caring and supportive because that was how he was taught by his former teachers. and unlike other dramas of the same genre, he was not surrounded by a bunch of good for nothing fellow teachers. i appreciated its realism, how they didn't blame everything on the elders/parents/teachers. most importantly, i appreciated how they showed that only the person in question (students) could effect change, not their surroundings to change for them (eg. their parents suddenly changing after being scolded.) let's just say it was less mushy. :P |

i watched this for aiba. but he didn't have much a role inside. acting as a nerdy teacher. even his mukodono role is much better. hope he'll get a good role soon. anyway, realised teppei and mochiyama was in this show when i watched it. and one gokusen guy. some girls are familiar and pretty and hayato's handsome. just don't like the female leader though too proud. might not have continued the show if not for hayato and the couple. i think the girl might be the same person as the one in gokusen2. not really sure. she's pretty. |

Have actually watched two episodes online. Very disturbed by the shouting that Yutaka did but it really made me re-evaluate my life at that point of time when i watched this. I stopped watching because i really felt that Yutaka's char was scolding me at one point because i really identified with one of the students he scolded. *sobs*
Plus i can't find this anywhere with English subs. Finally gotten hold of DVD set in May 09 with English subs. Will watch this soon. I've gotten over the trauma of being 'scolded' by Yutaka. |

Boring at the beginning, but good at the end. I like this kind of drama, the theme is School but they don't copy GTO or Gokusen. YBK make their own identity. Even Takenouchi Yutaka not doing so well, especially when he scream like Yakuza wanna-be (Korreeeee...). His voice is too fake, but the other character and the good story makes me can't hate this drama. I don't care even this drama is not realistic, what important to me is they give me something different and unique.

Its good... imo even better than Gokusen, Dragonzakura, Gachibaka! or GTO.... Much more original.. and the plot is really good. And for once someone didnt try that "New-teacher-worst-class" explanation... When the new teacher always end up in the class that school doesn't want...
But the ending ruins all the dorama!!! It could've been much better!! (Well.. i didnt watch the SP...) but i felt like i was missing one last episode....

I know this is based on a real school, but somehow it feels too much like a documentary instead of a drama series. Maybe it's the dialogue or something. But by the end, I was pretty bored.
I realized there are tons of up and coming actors/actresses among the cast of students. Fans of them should consider watching this series to see how they were. e.g. Mocomichi is way more kakkoii now, and Teppei became cuter too. Ichihara Hayato looks the same though. |

Ahhh...what can I say...as usually yutaka is so kakkoi...now I know why they chose him as the emperor....overall for this drama, it's a thumb up....very nice and there are some touching scenes too...although it cannot beat GTO but I think we have to separate the 2 dramas. GTO is more mangga type while this one is more realistic....really like it. |

It's like a GTO, only with more evil kids and a more lively faculty staff. You can get into it, but the first episodes were better than the ending ones. You will definitely find yourself wanting to beat these obnoxious kids up though, they were SAIAKU. Seriously! It almost made me not want to watch them, haha! |

I'm shared between different feelings.. It's not original, actors overact a lot, I has a lot of "clichés" but yet you don't get bored watching it. I love Ichikawa Yui, but the result of her pregnancy issue was not the right thing to do I think. Studies and Work must be priority. |

A wonderful drama! I love it!!! Great casting, I love the story. It's great because it's based off real life. I don't think it's comparable to GTO because of that. I really enjoyed Takenouchi's performance. I quite liked Nagai in this too! |

I think the plot tries to be different, but still falls back to the same hot-headed GTO kind of teacher. The teacher and students shout a lot throughout the dorama. Nevertheless, some scenes are still touching and makes a tear or two drop. |

Mac 2004: This drama really touched me, esp the last part of the drama. And the theme song is really nice, much more realistic compare with other similar theme drama. Too bad shinohara ryoko was just a beautiful vase in the drama........ |
