not to be a wet blanket, but i don't want Jun to remain in the 10th spot.

i want him to move up to the highest spot but that takes time. so in the mean time let's hope that more fans will vote for him to move him up the ranks.

i think jun is underrated in the ranking... for the number of drama's he has done... he is an AMAZINGLY good actor... he bbetter stay in top ten!!!

At first I was really confused about what you guys were talking about....like top 10 in what? But it's really good because if you think about it, half of them are women. So our beloved junjun is like top 5 for men...hehe

I'm so impressed with Matsujun's acting abilities! Just look at the diversity of roles he's played! I know some people out there think he's chosen for roles just because he is handsome and cool (kakkoii). But it really isn't JUST that! He has charisma (karisuma). He can convey a wide range of emotions and a wide degree of emotional intensity. He really is a good actor in his own right--versatile and mesmerizing. (tasai; saiminjutsu ni kakeru/ miwaku suru)
I'm watching Hana Yori Dango. Wow. I just can't take my eyes off of him. And how different he is in this drama than the character of Sawada Shin and Momo, for example!
He's one in a million. Maybe that's an understatement!

personally, kimutaku is popular for his looks and x-factor but not for his acting abilities.
comparatively, jun is a much better actor even at such a tender age.

i have faith that one day, jun will outshine him when he gets more exposure and more experience.
i'm not sure if jun needs to be the most popular actor. i would rather him be the top of mind actor for the best directors in japan, if not the world. ^^

I think that acting is probably Jun's best ability--more so than his singing or dancing, though I do love his voice quality (resonance; smoothness). (I really don't know about his pitch range and control, since the things I've heard him sing do not have a large pitch range or rapidly changing notes..). And he's a reasonably good dancer. I wonder, though, how he feels about the relative importance of his singing in Arashi vs. his acting career? What means the most to him? Guessing from the words in "La Familia" as well as what he has said in some interviews, I wonder if perhaps his career with Arashi is more meaningful to him...?

imo, every aspect of Jun's career is important to him. being part of Arashi helps define his singing and dancing career. his acting abilities is something that he excels in and this is where he explores his individual capabilities.

being a part of Arashi obviously is very important to him. in every interview that i've watched or read, he is always introduced as Matsumoto Jun of Arashi.

I like Jun a lot too altough my favorite drama with him is and will be forever "Gokusen" I believe that`s the character that fit him pretty well
In kimi wa petto I think he doesn`t really fit in the "kawai" role but still I like that drama too
I`m currently watching Hana yori dango as I`m sure most of Jun`s fans are Tsukasa`s character is good but I do prefer Hanazawa Rui and Oguri Shun takes the 1st place as my fav in that drama ...

the red square framed glasses are actually one of his fav pairs. he does have a "back up" pair which is black but with bigger lenses. he pulled that out during an interview in a AIUEO (taiwan bangumi) last yr. that pair was pretty geeky... lol

as for shades, he loves shades. his favourite was a pair of aviatar glasses and he actually took a pic of those for last yr's calender shoot. but, he lost those the current one that he's using is one that has tinted red lenses and its pretty big, such that it covers his face.

yup. my sentiments exactly. that's the reason why the roles that he chooses are seldom of the same kind. the one thigng i'm waiting for him to act out is of a psychotic killer... maybe like hannibal lector. something like nakai's role in mohouhan? i'd love to see jun pull something like that off.

@ Rebekah: as mentioned by arwenna, Arashi IS an important aspect for Jun. He is one fella who puts his heart and soul into the group. He's a total perfectionist and he's the one that puts the benchmark on things.

as for la familia, imo, he's always thinking about things, and therefore he's putting forward his thoughts in that song. and in that way too affirming with the fans on their faith towards Arashi.

and at the concert, its towards the ending of the song, when you see his facial expression.... it just shows you really, how much ARASHI means to him.

It's really interesting watching doramas done by Jun. Cuz I've been watching shows where he's together with ARASHI both younger and older. And then KWP, Gokusen. Also in the concerts. He just seems to be sooooooo different in all of those instances. And it makes me feel like I know him yet I don't.... I dunno if that even makes sense. But with some actors if you see them enough, it seems like they're just portraying the same type of person similar to themselves but Jun is so awesome. There's just sooo many sides to him

with the risk of sounding obvious, i just wanted to say that i so totally LOVE him! he's such a good actor and so incredibly gorgeous. i drool everytime a new episode of HYD comes on, especially the scenes with him and the other guys in there, too. i wonder how they casted so many good looking guys on one show?

hmm... i think just the opposite.
after scrutinizing jun in his 'less-scripted' life, eg ,in all the mintere/utawaras, d, c, g noarashi, hanamaru interviews 2000 n 2003, recent interviews, the way he interacts with others, etc...
i think that he's definitely more kawaii in real life than cool or sexy, even dorky sometimes... alot of times actually... just check out the hyd interviews haha! ok, he does show a cool or sexy side sometimes. he's slowly growing up i guess. and being a child celeb, he's bound to have a complex personality.

in fact, i suspected that he won an award for g1 coz he surprised everyone by acting so well a character so 180deg of his own. and i heard many of his fans who's followed him since years ago feels that he's just being himself in kwp. ^^
i also feel so too. coz i think it's easier to act cool, than to act naturally kawaii without being sickening...

welcome to the world of LOVING Jun. just take the next number in line, there are hordes of girls in front of you who loves Jun. most who posts in here adore JUN to bits, and we make that known all the time.

Fridays are currently my most looked forward day due to HYD. the casting personnel did a terrific job in getting the F4 together. Jun and Shun are totally gorgeous and Shota and Abe are growing on me too.

back to JUN, anyone of you managed to find out if there was an episode of Utawara on last Sunday?
