the first jdrama that i watched was Strawberry on a shortcake, only because my brother showed it to me. But the drama that really got me hooked and made me want to watch more was BEAUTIFUL LIFE. So since then i've been watching jdrama.

the frist jdrama that got me hooked has to be GTO. . .the ending was good. . but i wanted to watch more. . . wish they had a season 2

1st ever was 101 Proposal, bought the Chage & Aska cassette tape and learnt the song Say Yes! It was even dubbed in Mandarin, no dual sound on tv then! Still singing the song in Karaoke.......By the way that was in the early 80s...watashi wa obaasan desho! Demo ne, very happy to be here to know so many share my interests in Jdorama, Jmusic and Jculture. Thanks, Genma!

1st ever was 101 Proposal, bought the Chage & Aska cassette tape and learnt the song Say Yes! It was even dubbed in Mandarin, no dual sound on tv then! Kamisama mo sukoshi dake. Got hooked on after this drama.Been collecting more than watching since then,cos didn't want to miss out any good dramas! And I choose the storyline to watch the dramas base on my moods! Up to date, I have collected around 170 dramas, but I think I've watched less than half of it! Yasuko

Having so much drama and watched less than half. At most i saw about 15 drama. I got a long way to go!

beach boys and gto is the first drama i saw..but i think got me hooked on is to heart... prefect love is also another good one...i love..lots more.. hhe.. btw..anyway anyone have nhk on their tv..cuz theyare replaying oshin...i saw it on tv..but din watch it..din noe it was that good..i hope i still have the chance to cathc..ok thanxs for recommending the dfrma oshin _________________ everyhting from japan.. fashion music culture food etc... call me yuki... nice to meet u guys...

GTO~ my first impression of takashi->a stupid funny guy~ haha my opinion, take no harm, lol but my second was Love Generation, it always hooked my up until now after all the hefty sum of dramas I watched, I still love Love Generation~ a classic, wellz, there'z more like Tokyo Love Story and such~ Kimura's a GREAT actor, i'd like to acknowledge that, but I don't like Takashi Sorimachi since then, although he has more serious role in "Cheap Love"

My first drama was Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake, which I watched some time in 2001. Soon after that I watched Love Generation because I was getting hooked. I have been learning Japanese since several months before then, so it has helped my comprehension and kept my interest

My first dorama was GTO - I heard that the anime was good but never watched it and instead I watched the drama and really enjoyed it....afterwards, I decided to give the anime a try and didn't like the anime version...I guess I kept comparing it to the drama.. But GTO didn't get me hooked onto doramas though. I only watched 3 Swordsman after that...I enjoyed it too but I wasn't hooked until I watched Heaven Cannot Wait much later.

the very first is Love2000. 'cos when it was first shown in Singapore, there was this big hoo-ha. Like some major show showing in 5 different countries at the same time. That drama kind of started the whole jdrama thing in Singapore right?

I got hooked on J dramas and Sorimachi Takashi since Beach Boys, and then started on VCDs with GTO.
