Darn, I was hoping for Sapuri to top 20%. I'm gonna stand by my prediction that it will be ratings champ. It's a good drama.

Looks like it's gonna be another weak season... At least rating-wise.

i agree with triky on these new doramas - a clear lack of creativity and originality - think i'll stick with watching some older doramas like TLS and other's i've already got in the near future

despite the lackluster in drama rating numbers this summer season, i am going for it..and d/l'ing some.....
besides kawaii gravure idol Misako Yasuda is in one of them....i forgot which one...but i am curious...

but the storyline might be lacking, seems like it is about some airline attendant story again...

Hmm, I wonder why ppl dont watch dorama's anymore... except Komyou ga Tsuji Well, Kekkon Dekinai Otoko and My Boss My Hero first episodes did well.. but then look at KDO's second episode rating I hope My Boss does well, since the first episode was great. Sapuri... well the first epi rating was pretty good too. In my opinion, its not as good as My Boss anyway..

Other doramas this season ive started to watch are Dandori, Hanayome wa Yakudoshi and Dare yori mo Mama wo Aisu.. all pretty good. DYMMWA's 2 episodes have been good so far, even though its a family dorama, its interesting. Dandori first epi was good, and Hanayome too. Gonna watch these doramas to the end I think. Even if they start getting boring, I'll watch them cos of Massu and Keichan

Anyone waiting for Taiyou no Uta? Im kinda excited to see Sawajiri Erika and Yamada Takayuki in a drama. Regatta seems interesting and Shimokita Sundays, I'll mostly try it because of Aya and Fujigaya Taisuke

not sure why...personal preference and it really matters how popular and what people consider good material to watch..

personally, i am going for the new ones, maybe not all, but kekkon otoko, d/l'ing that one....they seem interesting, but how will they do? not sure, guess the ratings will reveal that...

I'm not one to believe in ratings but wow 13% for Sapuri in its 2nd week is something unseen for a drama in the much sought after golden hour. The quality of dramas are really sliding as the seasons go by but I like Kekkon Dekinai Otoko. Abe Hiroshi's just hilarious.

I've always just lurked in this tthread, looking at the ratings. But the ratings now are alarming that i couldn't help commenting! &Uuml;

what's happening in japan? one could easily notice the decline in ratings, as compared with other seasons' ratings. there's a downhill trend. i just wonder why...

is the quality of doramas getting bad OR are the tastes of the audience changing? getting more diverse?

All of the manga and many novel adaptations sucks. They are usually not meant to be live-action.

My goodness i'm shocked at Regatta's ratings... what happened? I watched it and really liked it.
And kudos to My Boss My Hero.

Oh my gosh, wtf is happening? I dont get the ratings at all. Especially Regatta, THE FIRST EPISODE under 10 %?? It definately deserves more viewers! I mean even Shimokita Sundays got more, and it sucks for gods sake!

All the doramas going down... well atleast My Boss My Hero is over 15... Damn, it has really come down to the fact that Kimura Takuya is what every dorama needs (ok maybe not koumyoji no tsuji..)

Maybe Regatta was suffering from not showing us anything new. Lots of cliche situations in the first ep.

But what really irritated me from the 1st episode was showing them going out to race in the middle of a storm. You'd have to be 6 kinds of stupid to do that.
