Still remember few years back Jdramas and Jpop were still hot here in SG? Channel 8 used to have this 'Google' on saturday's morning till noon...

Then they still broadcasted Music Station on thursday night... I want all these to come back!! sob... quite sick and tired of all those Kdramas already...

Btw the shop that ^oo^ mentioned is MISE S*CLUSIVE. they're selling the jpop stuffs, like jap magazines, singers/actors/actresses cards, poster etc. the shop is quite/very updated with new stuffs..

i wanted to buy the HYD makino's phone strap but it's selling ex at $27... but in fact it's the price they shd be selling la lol

Maybe we can try our luck at Liang Court.Half of its total stores are Japanese stores. We might not find our respective J-idols's albums but at least we get to follow our love for Japan!!!I bought Natto there but it was a bad move... Cry

Bad move? Why do you say its a bad move? Lousy quality? Or no subtitles?

Well, stuff from MISE are quite expensive because its imported from Japan. Actually sometimes I wonder if its a legal thing, because as far as I know, there's some stuff that AREN'T supposed to be sold out of their domestic market.

At Orchard Cineleisure you say? I might wanna drop by one of these days to pay a visit. w00t!

Honestly for me, I watched it not because I'm a big fan of Mirai Shida or anything of that sort. I actually started watching 'The Queen's Classroom' first, and checked out some details at Drama Wiki. I clicked around a bit and found that Mirai acted in this controversial drama called '14 Sai no Haha'. Saw it was rather interesting, not to mention the rather high viewership rating, I decided to give it a go.

Though it may seem unrealistic that parents, especially Japanese parents who are QUITE concerned with 'face' and pride, would allow their underage daughters to give birth, but the show fills me with sorrow at how cold society can be, and how much pressure Mirai's character goes through, at length, to give birth to a baby. The emotional rollercoaster she is put through, the sadness and jealousy only a single mother could ever imagine. I don't know how to put it into words.

But anyways, the thing that really gets your heart in a pinch is the OST. I love the instrumental BGMs that play during the drama. Very tearjerking! I'm the kinda emo-guy who's a sucker for such soap dramas. Bleah

Haven't really been watching any shows lately. Last one was 15 sai no blues and also Naruto 219. Downloaded 220 but haven't watched it yet.

Oh yeah, my Swing Girls arrived today. Gonna save up to order My Boss My Hero next. Still got lots of DVDs I want to collect but lol no money hehe.

Anyways, I have cable channel 57, JET TV, it shows japanese stuff. no english subs so no idea what they're talking about though... T_T

Hey when we having a Jdorama gathering? makan session would be the most appropriate I guess?

Shucks. I went to Mise* today and it was closed. Didn't know they don't open on Sundays. Could only glance from a dimly lit surrounding into it, didn't really see much but some photo cards. Nice Jin poster on the front. XD

@ Teck, your copy of Swing Girls direct from Japan? I buy most of my JDoramas at Poh Kim. If not I DL the fansubs. Bleah

IF there was one, it had better be central. Unless most of us peeps here stay in the North East like me. =X LOOOL! XD Bonk

If anyone is interested for the gathering.
I suggest the location to be at Casafe, the maid cafe at Raffles Place.
Like at Japan.

That's a great suggestion!!!Since it's in the centre of Singapore then anyone from any part of Singapore can't complain that much right?!? w00t!

Having said that...I feel that the best time might be on a weekend. Most of us shouldn't have any work or schooling on weekends right? And it must happen after CNY.It starts this week so we'll got to wait till after it.

And just to contact each other...why not we leave each other's cellphone numbers here?!?As least we can keep in touch with each other until the day when we do know each other's real name!I'll put my head on the block first.(just joking....).My number is 91811603.Let's send each other an SMS indicating our online name ok?

Ok I am going to receive lots of prank calls from some a**holes who clearly have nothing else better to do.Let's hope none of that happens... Shameful Cry
