hmm yeah i think it should majorly be because of the popularity of kurosagi? Perhaps if any future NEWS singles are released and the song is used for a popular jdrama that one (or even better more than one) member of NEWS takes part in, it will sell better? Wait a minute, hoshi wo mezashite was used for happy feet, but it didn't really improve the sale of HwM much did it?
i'd love to see how a pi solo single that isn't tied in with anything will do.

Tego is just voice actor in Happy Feet, it's way diff from a NewS member acting in a drama and sing the theme song. You can't see Tegoshi at all in Happy Feet....honestly, nobody really cares who's the voice actors when they go watch an animation. So understandable why Hoshi sale isn't boost up a lot b/c of the movie.......
I think it's just the wording problem of "NewS fans most likely would buy Yamapi's solo CD", I think what she really means is "Most (but not all) NewS fans would most likely to buy Yamapi's CD", b/c most (but not all) NewS fans are Yamapi's fans. Most ppl get to know NewS or support NewS b/c they like Yamapi.

First of all, gotta admit that NewS as a group is really too young and unstable and not as well-known as Yamapi himself. NewS never get any group activities outside singing. And they only release avg 1-2 CD per year. They didn't perform or go to any TV show unless they release new CD. So many adults who don't stick w/ SC or TV all the time may not get much chance to learn about NewS or its members. But Yamapi himself has lots of other exposure chance w/ all the CM and drama. Other members have dramas, but only a small role, may not be noticed if not pay close attention. (I mean the aunties and uncles don't really care who act those little roles when they watch drama, they only care who's the leading roles) Ryo is closest to Yamapi in terms of reputation/popularity. But seems most ppl think of him as K8 members more than NewS members. And probably his fans prefer buying K8 CD over NewS CD......exclude Yamapi and Ryo....honestly, not many ppl would buy NewS CD if these two not there.......
let me change topic haha...i was watching the making of 'attention please' special...and i heard something really adorable...aya was callin ryo - 'ryo-chan' ~~~ how cute..that means they are close ne... ....
about the CDs thing...i still think that if yamapi relases a CD with toma .. it will definitely sell way beyond NewS. my point is that NewS isnt famous enough and a lot of people doesnt know or care of any members but Yamapi. even ryo-chan himself said in an interview that lots of fans refer to NewS as a group that has Yamapi and thats it. About daite senorita..it was ranked as #4 single of the year 2006 and NewS was ranked at 20-ish...and even before the suspension NewS rarely sold more than 300,000 copies which was like half of yamapi's numbers. and also...maybe there are quite numbers of 4tops' fans out there who detested NewS.
since im the yamapi only fan [and maybe a lil of ryo-chan's fan], i do like NewS, but i dont own any of their single. i do download and listen to all of their songs though.

Well I got something to settle down, I �m moving to my hometown (got better offer there..) so I would be on and off here.. beside I can�t be online for few days or maybe weeks! OMG!!
Er.. Im not good in giving my opinion.. to be honest, I prefer enjoyed reading you guys comments so interesting!
But I will feel not good if I�m just keep quite, so this is what I think.. well I have said before how greedy I�m.. yes I AM! I want all of their drama, plays, movies, singles and album! I love Yamapi and I also loves NewS! If you asked me which one I love most.. well truly deeply I will say Yamapi! Actually we all knew that NewS are not too strong.. compared with other group in JE.. and I agree that most people know NewS because of Yamapi and Ryochan.. and for me I want to think positively ( even though sometime I don�t) that these solo activities will help NewS. From this solo activities each person can show their talent.. from here people will know them and lead to knowing NewS..
Yamapi have strong supported fan bases, so its not surprisingly that his solo album can sell more than NewS..
I know I have said before that I don�t like them to be paired.. and I�m still with it. I�m ok with Tegomass during the suspensions but when NewS are back.. I�m not.. (even I think, I'm only listen to their kiss, not more than 3 times) and not just becoz I love Yamapi and I know about what happen between him and Toma then agreed if they collaborated together.. for me if they collaborated with other people then its ok.. like Shouji Akira. Besides all of us knew that mostly every people in JE have their solo activities.. they have their drama, movies and plays.. so we can't do anything its all becoz of the old man!
I think.. the main courses here, we lack of fans who do loves NewS for each of them! Even tough we love one or two of them more, but we still love all of them as a group! Who will buy each of their solo cds.. plus with NewS.

Yay~ So I'm back? I wasn't really expecting myself to be absent for about a week, but it happened anyways. My church was holding VBS last week and I was a counselor... for 30 something kids. Man, I was beat at the end of each day from Monday to Friday. I had to get there at 8:15 every morning, and when it ended at 1:00, I had to do daycare in case any of the kids' parents couldn't get them. My sleeping schedule that week was reversed. I slept during the daytime and woke up during the early-early mornings. Thank gosh I didn't have to teach the kids at least.^^; I was like a game counselor (organizing the games for the kids to play, setting it up, teaching it to the kids, and supervising them). I had other people helping me too. Still though, it was tiring, even though it was incredible fun. Who knew kids could be so rough and energitic? I have "battle scars" from those kids. They have really long/sharp nails!!
Enough about me. This is the NEWS forum, not the 'Read what yeuannh has to say about her summer'. I'm sure you guys don't want to listen to my whole life here... lol Anyways, I see quite a serious conversation going just from the latest two pages... (I have to admit, I'm having a fun time reading them too.^^ It's nice knowing a bunch of other people's point of view.) o.O Did I happen to miss something by any chance? xD lol

hehe yeahh dealing with kids definitely require lots of energy -.- i rmb the last time i tutored a primary one school kid for my community service project, i had to pull him out from under the table because he wanted to sleep there -.- And what a coincidence! My cca has this games day organized for this childcare centre next wednesday and i'm supposed to be facilitating as well but luckily mine is just a one day event whooaa haaha go catch up on some sleep!
blah.. nothing new is happening to NEWS besides their solo activities -.- I just saw a clip on kei's high school musical though (and his kiss!). Although NEWS is not together as a whole, i'm glad to know that they're so supportive of kei! Tegomass went live to support him, ryo said he'll go watch kei one day and yamapi asked kei to ganbare on his jweb

i don't know if any of you remember me i used to come on all the time. but lately i've been so busy, moved house twice, got exams at school, went to japan and all that sort of stuff. and i haven't been on for months and months and months
