I'm on the last episode of Byakuyakou and it's been a helluva ride and one of the few dramas that's got me rooting for the "bad guys". _________________
Watching my first ever Kimura drama: Pride, currently at episode 4.
ItLs not that bad and ILm surely going to finish this series but I am not going to watch another Kimura-drama because:
- I think heLs not at all cool nor good looking.
- People said that he plays the same kind of guy in most dramas and I canLt really warm up to the character he portrayed. No repetition needed.
- HeLs acting skills are surely better than mine, yet not convincing enough to keep me interested.
Oh well, already thinking about which drama to watch next ...
Hmm. I can understand your reaction now in the first 4 episodes.
I think I had the same kind of initial response. It will be interesting to see if you still feel the same when you reach the ending episodes.

As a break between Shomuni 2 and Shomuni 3 watching Jikou Keisatsu again. It's so odd and quirky I know there's a lot of things I missed the first time around, besides Joe Odagiri is such a great nerd.
Gonna go watch "So You Think You Can Dance" and leave the rest of Majo for tomorrow.
"So you think you can dance" is the only reality show I can watch. But I stop once they get down to the real dancers. (They can all dance, so what's the point?)
Funniest line on TV last season came early on in the process. One of the awful wannabes is dancing(?) his butt off, suddenly he falls, disappears from the screen, and out of nowhere, you hear someone call out; "Medic!"
I laughed for an hour after that.
LOL I think I remember that line.
So You Think You Can Dance is the only reality show I watch as well. Actually, since I don't watch TV that much, it's prolly the only show I'm watching right now.
On Topic: Finished Majo epi 8. Gonna drill through 9 now. _________________

Strange, I got it from d-a and it still has seeds.
@EstherM: Yea, Kimura plays similar characters, so be sure to leave a gap between Pride and Engine or Good Luck (if you decide to watch them). _________________

I actually was anticipating this rant from you. Pride is one of those dramas I love to hate so I was cringing a bit when I saw people recommending it to you. As far as romantic comedies by Kimura it's beyond me that people would recommend Pride over Long Vacation but I guess that is because LV is kinda old?
Like I said before, do check out Sora Kara if you can. I think it is more in tune to the kind of dramas you enjoy. I've never been a big romcom fan myself so dramas like Pride and even LV (even though it is better than Pride in ever way possible imo) never end up leaving a big impression on me.
On topic I'm almost done Medaka, I really am enjoying this drama and I don't know why it isn't more popular. Mimura rules!

It's prolly cause they haven't seen LV, it being an older drama and all.

Wait, "romcom" as in Romantic Comedy? Are we talking about the same Pride? It wasn't a romantic comedy...

Final epi of Majo no Jouken.
When you write your review, if you want to use the line I used on Fukaku Mogure and substitute Nanako Matsushima's name for Manami Konishi's, it's o.k. with me.
