Well keep us posted on any news re: the airing of the second season. That would be most appreciated.
They're going to be showing the second season in Hawaii some time this month. I wonder if they even aired the first season here..
On topic: Watched the last 3 episodes of Bara no nai Hanaya and it had a really satisfying ending. Now I have to go back to watching Koibumi. _________________

True. Then again, I wasn't watching KIKU regularly for the past several years, so they must've aired it. Couldn't find it on their site though. _________________

Cori,
KIKU did air season one. I remember seeing a commercial for it on one of the Docchi discs you sent me.
Hey, Toshiyuki Nishida fans--I just read where the new Asadora (Hitomi) which just started airing in Japan has, as one of its principal characters, the grandfather of the heroine, played by none other than Nishida. I saw of picture of his character--he seems to be decked out in cowboy attire, including a cowboy hat. Btw, Naoko Iijima plays his apparently estranged daughter--the mother of the heroine. The series takes place in the old shitamachi area of Tokyo. Hopefully, this Asadora will eventually be subbed and made available some time down the road.

Oops, I guess I haven't been paying attention to their lineup.

More than likely it'll be shown on NGN here. Too bad I don't have that channel. I'm sure that the KTSF guys will have it though. _________________

Re: the new Asadora. Never depend on KTSF. They've been showing the Asadora's for years... but that doesn't mean anything.
On the 19th of this month they'll start showing Teppan Shoujo Akane, then a little "afternoon" soap called Homemaker is on right after that, and it still has something like 20 weeks to go. So if there are any plans to show the Asadora... they are a long time in the future.
Catching up: I'm down to my last episode of Honey & Clover and I've really enjoyed the whole series. (Everyone's beautiful, everyone's talented, everyone's in love, and nobody's happy. Amazing how they do that.) Fortunately for me... I didn't see the movie, so I don't have to spend my time comparing the two casts.
As to my lunch break series... I'm still completely obsessed with "Partners". _________________

I think you're the only one who truly likes this series so far. Most of the reactions are just so-so or bad. I'll probably watch it one of these years because I already authored it to DVD..
On topic: Um, I'm currently watching a Kdrama, so I guess this isn't on topic at all. _________________

Started At Home Dad. Stars two of my favorite actors- Abe Hiroshi and Shinohara Ryoko. Considering my uncle gets talked about for being a so-called stay at home dad (even though he works, just not regular hours) it's neat to see it from the Japanese point of view. I wonder how many of those there actually are... Only watched the first episode and it was decent but nothing gripping.

It's always the waiting period between dramas when I start marathonning things, ne? This weekend I flew threw a run of Kurosagi (very interesting story) and (because I love pain) Gokusen 2.
I'm just waiting for the premieres of all these promising shows for the spring now!
