LOL.

Yeah, he played a jerk way back in 1992 in Tokyo Elevator Girl... Talk about typecast. Beaten

Been a while if i say so myself, doesn't mean I haven't been watching shows though!

Of course...first one for this season was...uhhh, yea, something. Checked out the first episode of Hyoryu Net Cafe, and all I can say is this think is a mindf*** of a show thus far. I don't even know if I like it or not, it's that messed up!

In other shows, waiting anxiously for the next episodes of Rescue to be subbed, and waiting for the episodes of Quiz Show and Shiroi Haru to make it down the pipe to check them out too. Wasn't too keen on many of the shows last season (save for Rescue and Love Shuffle), so hoping for a few more to make it this time around...

...still don't get Hyoryu Net Cafe, I have a feeling I should watch it while drunk or something. hehe

Just started Regatta http://jdorama.com/drama.1022.htm and I will admit the ONLY reason I'm watching this is Saki Aibu. (Time for me to look up "superficialities" ashamed )

There's one other drama about rowing, Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, and Saki Aibu is in that one too!...

Hey guys! Nice to meet you all. I'm pretty new here, so yoroshiku~

Let's see, I'm currently watching Konkatsu, Atashinchi no Danshi, BOSS, Smile, Majo Saiban, and The Quiz Show 2 on TV. I might be dumb or something, but I REALLY ENJOY THE QUIZ SHOW. Or I'm just biased towards Sakurai. No idea. And I agree with marspeach. Atashinchi no Danshi is pretty stupid so far, but I kind of want to see Kaname Jun do something more =P

Any recommendations for dramas would be greatly appreciated =)

Hi there. Agree about Kaname Jun. He's my favorite actor out of the brothers and he's barely done anything. He's also in Godhand Teru but only was on screen for a minute or something.

Watched Hancho ep 2. Pretty generic detective drama.

Good thing is I just watched Atashinchi ep 3 tonight, and judging from the previews... Kaname Jun might actually do something soon! =D

I'm still plugging away at Triangle

http://jdorama.com/drama.1366.htm

Rather than lightning striking twice and this show taking off the way "Love Shuffle" did, I have this little scene playing in my head when I watch the show. It's six, rumpled, underpaid writers packed into a smoke filled room saying things like:

Quote:
"Okay, what episode are we on? 7? Okay, so what if we have suspect #3--"

"Can't be Suspect #3."

"Are you sure?"

"Suspect #3 was shot and killed in Episode 4!"

"Maybe it was just a ruse!?!"

"We had the autopsy scene!"

"Okay, scratch that. Make it suspect #5. What was I gonna say?"

"I don't know, but you'd better hurry up. The actors are on the set and they're waiting for today's pages."

My award for the show... Goro Inagaki of SMAP. Worst actor in the world, 20 years running!!! An amazing bit of consistency.

Gaijinmark mentioned above that he was watching "Regatta" just to see Saki Aibu. Well heck, she's the reason I watched "Regatta" too. She was also a big reason I started watching "Triangle".

He's the problem... She never gets to smile in "Triangle". And really, there's no reason to watch Aibu if she's not smiling.

It also has the vastly underappreciated/underused Jiro Sato. He may get two lines an episode if we're lucky.

Heya! Smile
Currently, I'm watching Bambino, Proposal Daisakusen, Gokusen1, Kiina and Ryusei no Kizuna. XD They're all pretty good. :3
Among them, Bambino's the one I'm really interested in right now, since I can relate to the feelings Ban/MatsuJun is having in the story. Bleah
Ryusei no Kizuna's pretty cool too. I love Ninomiya's character there. It's so amusing.
Hahah, my Arashi fanaticism is coming out. XD

Okay, about half way thru Regatta. As expected, Saki Aibu is the only reason to keep going. I notice Hayami's acting is very similar Zettai Kareshi (where he played a robot)

He's like that in all his dramas. Just Zettai Kareshi is the only one where it's actually required for the character.

I stopped watching it as soon as i saw Aibu Saki. my previous dramas of her (Utahime & Zettai Kareshi) made me believe that she really can't act and all her roles are the same and as annoying as eachother. Is she any different in there?

I actually like her role in Zettai Kareshi. Maybe it is because the drama is pretty exaggerated which is kinda in-line with her acting. Utahime is so-so I feel. I just like how Nagase Tomoya and her do the "Taro rin-rin-rin" thing.

Anyway there's some good drama this season that I am watching and a bad one I dropped.

Ghost Friends.. Couldn't continue pass EP02. Horrible.......

Shiroi Haru is the one I find the best. Abe Hiroshi never fails.

Atashinchi no Danshi is the ikemen drama this season I guess. Well silly to watch but still I can't bear to miss this.

Boss. Now I didn't expect myself to like this drama. I usually skip detective/police genre but after 2 episodes, I believe I'll continue with it. Maybe because Amami Yuki is doing her magic in this drama. Big Grin
