I think it's a 96. She's had it for probably 6 or 7 years and despite its various problems, I think it's an exceptional car. Not all cars are made equally and I think she got really lucky with hers - it's held up much better than other 3 series I've known from about the same time period.

My '94 has held up quite well, too... But the last couple of years, things are starting to go (shocks, ignition lock, exterior paint, door interior, headliner, etc.)... Not sure if it's worth plunking any more money into it or buying a new car... Tough decision. Sweat

Actually, he got lucky. After Gonzalo Rodriguez had his fatal accident there in 1999 they moved the wall/tire barrier back and made a lot more run off. There used to be a big tree up there and they took that out as well. Could have been a whole lot worse.
