In episode one of Love Generation, where Riko is singing karaoke with Teppei in the hotel (they just met Smile ), (about 4:30 seconds from the start of the episode), the song is "About the Beach, Etc" by Puffy, and the lyrics she sings go like below. Please correct me where I mess up:

Mizugi de furu supi-do
[lit: swimsuit in full speed]
(in a full speed swimsuit)

Matsubara dewa sugu rikyu-ru
[lit: pine-grove(?) as for soon/near villa(?)]
(in a pine grove near the villa)

Kani tabe ikou
[lit: crab eat go]
(let's go eat crab!)

Also, for big bonus points, she changes the lyrics of the last line to something like: Kani kutte ikou, but I don't really know. Can you tell me?

Muchas Gracias.

The full lyrics are here, if you are curious:

That might be "full speed in a swimsuit", like "I'm going at full speed, in a swimsuit" or something like that, just as an example. Not sure...it seems like a weird line to me. Either that or the actually are talking about a full "Speedo", LOL!!! Crazy

Thanks KouSeiya ... I sort of thought that too. It looks like the song is kind of silly, so the lyrics probably don't make a whole lot of sense to begin wth.
And I could only find the romaji, it might be a little clearer in Kanji ... but I'm too stupid to be able to use a Japanese search engine yet.

So you think rikyu-ru is villa? That's the closest thing I could find in edictj. Matsubara could be a personal name. "Matsubara approaches the villa"?

Beats me.

I think the word change she did was to sing the chorus that appears later "Hani kitte ikou", but she sounds like she's saying "Hani kutte ikou".

Yeah, this song kinda looks like it's silly, especially with the random English words (common though).

Rikyu-ru doesn't seem like it would be villa. Just "rikyuu" would be. I don't know where that "ru" comes from, unless it's "liquor" or "liqueur". I'm positive that "matsubara" is pine grove (quite literally). Maybe they're talking about getting drunk in a pine grove Naughty

It's really hard to do songs once they are romanized, at least they are for me. I usually need the kanji because then all the homonyms (sorta) come up. As for the "hani" line, I have NO clue. I'm not even familiar with the word "hani" or anything with "hani" at the beginning....sorry, I suck Sweat

Maybe it is....

Mizugi de Full Speed = Ł@tXs[h
@ Full Speed in Swimwear.

Matubara dewa Sugu Liqueur = ł́@L[
@ In pine grove, (we) drink liqueur instantly.

Kani Tabe Ikou = JjH׍s
@ Let's go eat crab.

(Original)
Hanikannde Ikou = ͂ɂōs
@ Let's be bashful

(Parody)
Kani Kutte Ikou = JjH
@ Let's eat crab. (*)

(*)
Kutte Ikou has a nuance of "Let's eat before leaving. " So it means "Let's eat crab before leaving" in strictly speaking.

I had not watched the drama, had she probably got drunk?

If anybody is still looking for good websites for Japanese music lyrics, you can try HERE

Not the best, but it has the Japanese written version along with the Romaji.

I try to find song lyrics, better with Roman spelling because some words don't know how to read. Surfed some website are vain!

Like Utara Hikaru, I can find "Can you Keep a Secret" in here but it's hard to find "Wait & see~"!

I think you are complicating things...Keep it simple and general, like the artist and "lyrics"...Enough english speaking fans for a lot of Japanese music these days to make it more or less available, I think...
I found romanized lyrics to Wait and See in about 2 sec by just typing in "utada lyrics"

Anyways, here's what I found....
