I think you would have to go to Manhattan...having lived there for a few years the East Village has a concentration of Japanese restaurants and shops...and there are other establishments sprinkled throughout Manhattan...bookstores, izakayas, tea shops, and the like. I know that might not do you much good since it's far away from you perhaps.

It's not that unusual... I'm the same with the amusement parks like Disneyland, Knott's, etc...

I was over in Little Tokyo last week, they've torn down the old wooden fire tower. Guess it was termite infested. They say they're going to replace it with a metal one.

are you going to get another t-shirt?,
it wasn't too bad a few years back, the sake was limited, for what it is worth, there is some good sushi, food. They revamped the Little Tokyo area, not sure if it is much improved.

It's still undergoing changes... For the better, I hope. Smile

speaking of T-shirts, i did manage to purchase an InNout T-shirt for me and my cousin. They looked good this year with the design. Did you ever get the Daikokuya noodle t-shirt, i think they discontinued selling those, but it was the one in downtown Little Tokyo we went once, one of the best noodles.

Yeah, maybe lots of good changes to the Nissei week this year?
have fun if you go.

Went by there tonight on the way to dance class. The bottom portion is already up. I'd say about 15 or 20 feet. Probably want it up by the parade.
