Just watched the first episode. It's very long at 110 minutes and felt quite slow. The speed at which the details of the case was talked about was very slow compared with what I am used to in the past, but it's easy to follow as a result. It's not bad, but there are a few things I didn't like about it. The team of profilers and a lot of scene sequences felt disjointed and not very well edited, and the music sometimes stick out and didn't fit. Most of the performances by the actors/actresses playing the cops (not the profilers) and the civilians were good though. Very serious subject...

Felt a bit sorry for the guy at the end, and what of the children who's been affected? Wish they would spend a little bit of time on that.
i might be curious to check out the first episode, even if the plot seems very familiar, and Keiko Kitagawa too, but i'm guessing the ratings won't be very high, we'll see.

I just watched Ep 7. I liked it but there was one issue...

The killer killed at least 3 people with 3 shots each. As far as I know handguns are illegal in Japan so you should not be able to get more ammo as a regular citizen. The killer also doesn't seem to be one to associate with people who might get their hands on more. And a revolver only holds 6 rounds.
