Rewatching Orange Days...
Funny that when I originally watched it a long time ago, it didnt particularly stand out to me and gave up half way.
But now that I'm rewatching it, I came to realize what a good series it is... Bonk

Just finished Marks no yama and it cheered me up as it was excellent. Lately there's not much interesting dramas produced and the ones that looks interesting aren't subbed so I was glad I could see this one.

I'm always amazed by the talent of Kohinata Fumiyo, this actor is really incredible, he can play anything and is always excellent and convincing whatever the part is.

I just finished JIN 2 and I enjoyed it every bit as much as I enjoyed the first series. And I enjoyed the first one a lot.

I'm not a big fan of time travel stories. I don't enjoy gnawing on the logical puzzles that always crop up with them. So normally I avoid them, or I watch the ones I"m really interested in, and simply avoid worrying about the time travel paradox. I simply focus on the people and their story, and I enjoy it or I don't. I don't ask the story to pass any sort of a test.

That attitude served me well with JIN and JIN 2. A good story, a great group of characters, and a fine fine cast. I can't ask for more.

Now onto... Hmmm. Not sure. Maybe GM Odore Doctor. It looks like a silly bit'o'nonsense, and that'll be a good change of pace after JIN 2.

I noticed the other day that BMW stuck with it all the way through on brodcast TV, so that has to be some kind of endorsement. Doesn't it?

Neat-oh cast, anyway.

I've seen him in a few things here and there, and he's very versatile indeed! Makes me glad he's in next year's Taiga drama... well, at least he, Fujiki and Tamaki will hopefully make up for Matsuyama Ken'ichi, sigh.

Kohinata Fumiyo is such a great actor it's a pity he doesn't get bigger roles, he's like the anti-Endo Kenichi; Kohinata Fumiyo has a naturally gentle looking face but is capable of playing nasty roles whereas Endo Kenichi has a Yakuza type face but recently seems to have been landing roles as nice guys.

Just finished Hana Yori Dango Season 2 episode 1, appalled by the negative stereotyping of African Americans. On a brighter note watching Karyu No Utage which is very enjoyable & Kokuhatsu : Kokusen Bengo nin, nice to see Tamura Masakazu back.

Finished up firsts epizodes of Don Quixote and Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro. Both of them are pretty funny but I think that Don Quixote is way better than Yuusha Mr Green

GM Odore Doctor

http://jdorama.com/drama.1589.htm

I don't like medical dramas, but this is probably just what the doctor ordered. A goofy Japanese take on the American Doctor show, "House", only instead of the brilliant doctor being a grumpy, crippled, drug addict... the Doctor here is delusional former dancer in a boy band who thinks he's on the verge of a come back (after 25 years), and only does medicine as a part time job to pay the rent.

I love the cast, and after two episodes I think it's gonna be fun. Nothing more, but certainly nothing less.

They aired the series recently here and I enjoyed it... Like in Kuitan, it seems to be a perfect role for Higashiyama Noriyuki. Smile

Summer is not boring after all. After two episodes, I am looking forward to the next episode of Bull Doctor, Don Quixote and Zenkai Girl yippee Coincidentally, I wonder why the mothers in all three shows are so overbearing......and they don't make cute bento sets for their kids

Sorry Smappies, I will probably skip all Goro's scenes U Suck

Keeping my fingers crossed that boredom will not force me to watch HanaKimi.

Have I missed out any good ones on air now ?

How's Zenkai Girl? It's the only drama that looks somewhat interesting.

He has the most smiley face in all of Japan. I like him as a Yakuza though.

If you enjoy Yamato nadeshiko, you would probably like Zentai Girl. Same kind of storyline. Poor girl chasing money and a rich guy, then comes a poor but very talented SNAG who changes everything...the only difference is this show comes with kids.

Talking about kids, just finished Marumo. One rare drama that survives without a villain.

How is Bull Doctor? The first episode had good ratings but that dipped quite a bit for episode 2. I like Esumi Makiko a lot and hope this is a good drama for her.

And is Inagaki's acting that bad? Haven't really seen him in anything.

Haha. I liked him in 2003's Taikoki, as Saru's strategist. I am a bit more hopeful for next year's Taiga - he'll play Tamaki's dad and will be a baddie. Fingers crossed that it'll be good.
