Ai Nante Irane Yo, Natsu [愛なんていらねえよ、夏] This is a Definitely fantastic drama. I don't understand why this drama had such low ratings. Watabe Atsuro was perfect as Reiji. I didn't think Ryoko Hirosue really fits the role of Ako that well though. this is one of the best jdoramas I watched so far, and I definitely recommend this to people who love romance with a bit of thriller element.
Gift [ギフト] great drama!! This is 'the' takuya i love the most. he's so sexy. Great acting from Takuya. Yukio and Takehiro were so! different. At the end of the drama, I couldn't breathe..It was so suspenseful..!!!
Hero I've enjoyed every episodes of this drama..
Well-made!! really enjoyable, funny, and endearing..It was somewhat Idealistic, yet realistic! Watch it!

Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi [空から降る一億の星] I love this drama..This is the first Kimutaku drama I've watched, and I fell in love with him right away..love Takuya's performance and Eri Fukatsu was great, too..It was very sad..
The ending was somewhat anticipatory, but it still made me cry
Tokyo Love Story [東京ラブストーリー] A classic. Great storyline, great acting, great soundtrack. A love story that is very real.
Fukatsu Eri [深津絵里] She is adorable and she can act really well.
I was impressed in Sorakara Furu Ichiokuno Hoshi.
Kimura Takuya [木村拓哉] I love Takuya. I especially love his eyes and his attitude..I have great expectations for him, and I hope he challenges himself even more later on. He's still young, and though he's at the top, he still has potential to be more than what he is now. Although I like him in SMAP X SMAP and in concerts as well, I like him best in dramas, and I consider him as an actor. Hope to see his acting ability improve.
Matsushima Nanako [松嶋菜々子] I think Nanako is the prettiest Japanese actress. She's so elegant. I first watched her in GTO and she's so pretty as Ms. Fuyutsuki! I liked her best in Yamato Nadeshiko! She's beautiful and she can act.
Shinohara Ryoko [篠原涼子] She's so cute~~ I just really like her personality. Loved her performance in Gift and anego. I'm watching Unfair right now and she's so attractive there too. SHe never disappoints me.
Suzuki Honami [鈴木保奈美] She's a great actress. Tokyo Love Story was a success because of her. Too bad she's not acting anymore..:(
Takenouchi Yutaka [竹野内豊] Yutaka is very good looking, and he has that charisma that draws the viewers. I love his dramas.
Watabe Atsuro [渡部篤郎] He has great acting abilities. At first, I saw him in Beautiful Life, and I liked him there. However, I really fell for him when I watched "���Ȃ�Ă���˂��� ��." He was thrilling as Reiji. I do hope to see more actors like Watabe in JDoramas.
Yamaguchi Tomoko [山口智子] She's very attractive. I love her smile and sweetness. Really hope to see her once again in jdorama...She was especially great in Long Vacation as Minami.. Her performance was unforgettable.

101 Kaime no Puropozu [101回目のプロポーズ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) I liked this drama. ONe of the classics. However, I couldn't really relate to the story..Is it really possible for a person like Kaoru falling in love with a person like Tatsuro? by the word 'love,' I mean passionate love that exists between a man and a woman who are very attracted to each other.
Takeda Tetsuya gave a good performance though.. I liked the theme song too. The plot was occasionally boring but had very emotional, touching scenes. I liked Eguchi Yosuke's character here, because he was cute and charming, tho his hairstyle was very weird..;;
29-sai no Kurisumasu [29歳のクリスマス] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) I couldn't continue watching..I was bored and stopped watching after episode 4.
Although I like Yamaguchi Tomoko and Nakamura Toru, I just couldn't find anything interesting in this drama..:(

Watabe Atsuro acted so well in this drama. Although I wasn't attracted to him at all at first, (he's too skinny) at the end of the drama, I fell in love with Reiji. Hirosue Ryoko was pretty good, too, but she was a little too fat in this dorama.
the ending was not really credible..though..
In Korea, a movie is being made based on this drama, starring Kim Juhyuk and Moon Geun Young. I hope the movie will be as good as this one!
Anego [アネゴ] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) Great drama! Loved Shinohara and Akanishi here. I especially liked the beginning though... At the end, the story got a little bit weird with all that adultery stuff...
Still, I throughly enjoyed this one!
Asunaro hakusho [あすなろ白書] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) I liked this drama till about episode 8. Then, the drama dragged a little bit. I like this true love kinda stuff. Narumi's devotion for Kakei-Kun was kinda touching. Toride (Kimura Takuya) was very cute. I couldn't understand why everybody's in love with Kakei instead of Toride! though the plot wasn't fantastic, i still got to really like the characters, which is something.
I heard this drama is based on Saimon Fumi's manga, like Tokyo Love Story. I liked Tokyo Love Story better, but this is still pretty good.
The theme song True Love is also great.
Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama was pretty good. The plot is too simple though.. I was bored occasionally.. Sometimes, I admit I had to force myself to watch this. However, I still give this drama 7 because of very good ending. This drama got better after ep.8, and ep.11 was very good and touching. Kimura Takuya gave very solid performance here. Some of the lines were very touching too.
It wasn't as sad as I wished it would be, though.. I think this drama is a little bit overrated because of its high ratings.
Tokiwa Takako didn't really have any chemistry with Kimura Takuya.
I think my expectations were too high because of the name values of Kitagawa Eriko and Kimura Takuya. This drama is good, but it could have been better
Byakuyakou [白夜行] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) I loved this drama! Now I want to read the novel too!
The plot was intriguing, and got me really think about
what crime and punishment really mean.
Takeda Tetsuya really added that extra dimension to the
drama.
However, I didn't really like most actors in this
drama. I personally think Yamada and Ayase don't really
look like a real couple. Yamada is shorter than Ayase!
Also, his hairstyle sucked. Kashiwabara Takashi looks ugly
here...Moreover, the plot was sometimes hard to understand.
I still don't get what exactly happened in episode 3~4.
Still, it's a very well made drama..:)
Densha Otoko [電車男] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) didn't really like this drama. I didn't like the main guy at all. Although i thought Ito Atsushi is cute in his own way, his character annoyed me so much since he was so shy and weak. He cried so easily.. Also, the character of Hermes was so unrealistic. She has pretty face, great body, and a perfect personality. No girl could be like that. The Hermes character was just so stock.
I also didn't really like the music.. The part where Otakus came out kinda bored me. The plot was so simple....
The drama was funny but it didn't exactly make me really laugh.
Dragon Zakura [ドラゴン桜] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) This dorama is so fun to watch! I wish i had a teacher like Sakuragi...I'm just really lazy to study hard....Hasegawa Kyoko was cute and charming. The kids were cute.
I'm not sure if the school education should really be focused on sending kids to high profile universities..but still enjoyable!
Engine [エンジン] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama is a great home drama. The way Jiro changed the children's lives was very sweet. Also, the kids are so adorable. I just fell in love with all the kids in this drama.
Though the drama was very boring in the beginning, it just got better and better toward the end. The ending is especially touching.
The theme song is very good as well. I love Aerosmith's Angel and Jimmy Cliff's song.
The bad part: I didn't like Koyuki's character at all. Her character was so stock and had only one side. Kimura Takuya and Koyuki didn't really have any chemistry. Also, I hated Takuya's fashion here. His pants made his legs look short..:(
Still, a pretty good drama. Touching..!
Gift [ギフト] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) A very good drama. I hope Takuya starrs in this kind of drama once again. I don't really like his recent dramas. I loved the theme song Tokyo Joe, and I loved Takuya's performance. It proved to me that Takuya has a great acting talent. He looked so innocent as Yukio and so evil as Takehiro. Also, Takuya looked very SEXY in this drama. He's still good looking but he was beautiful in 1997.
I'd give this 9 since because the first five episodes were a little bit boring from time to time. As the story gears toward the end, it gets more interesting!
I also really liked Shinohara Ryoko here. So cute!
Gokusen [ごくせん] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) This drama is pretty good. It's childish and yet entertaining. It's very funny for sure. Nakama Yukie is so cute, and Matsumoto Jun is cool.
Namase Katsuhisa was very funny.
As some people already pointed out, though, Yankumi always trying to teach the viewers at the end is a bit annoying though....
Good Luck !! [グッドラック！！] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) It's entertaining for sure, though i don't think this drama has real substance. Still, it was a treat for the eyes. Tsutsumi Shinichi was great. I think he looked very sexy here. Kimura Takuya looked very good too. I hope he will cut his hair short like this once again. His hair has been too long for a long time....
I didn't like SHibasaki Kou at all though... Her character didn't have real personality, and she didn't look pretty at all. Couldn't really understand why Shinkai's so attracted to her.
Still, I'd give this drama 8 because of great music, cool atmosphere, and occasional fun moments.
GTO [麻辣教師] Rating: 7/10 I'm not sure if i like this drama. I love Matsushima Nanako. I like Sorimachi and think he's good looking. Also, Sorimachi really fits my image of Onizuka. HOwever, his performance was a bit unnatural..
The story was too cliche as I watched so many japanese school dramas. This didn't have any special element. The plot is unrealistic...
It's entertaining though.
Hero Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) I love this drama. Kimura Takuya was so charming and the story was great as well. No wonder this drama got such high ratings. Kuryu is one of my fav jdorama characters. He was SO cute. This drama made me laugh so many times. Definitely recommended.
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [１リットルの涙] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama is very sad. I wanted to read the book after watching this drama. Sawajiri Erika's very pretty, hope to see her in other doramas as well.... However, she wearing makeup even in last episodes was distracting. She really shouldn't have worn mascara after about ep.4.
I really liked Narumi Riko too. Can't believe she's born in 1992. She looks, like, 16.
Though I liked Nishikido Ryo's character, he looked a bit unhealthy in this drama.
This drama shined because of Jinnai Takanori and Yakushimaru Hiroko. They were great actors that gave this drama substance. Well done! Overall, it was a good drama that made me to appreciate what i have..
Koori no sekai [冰の世界] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) This drama was pretty good, but I preferred 'Nemureru Mori' over this one. I was a little bit bored time to time.
Still, I really recommend this drama for people who like mystery/ thriller
Kou kou kyoushi [高校教師] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama was disturbing, but it made me to think about a lot of social issues as well as what I live for as a human. It was really a deep drama.
A lot of the social problems present in this drama is still present today..Though disturbing, these things exist in real life. Fujimura and Mayu's dad are psychopaths, but then...psychopaths do exist...In this world, everybody wishes to have someone you can love unconditionally, and be loved passionately back. If you have that person, nothing matters anymore. I think Mr. Hamura was like that to Mayu. To Mayu, Mr. Hamura was probably everything...Though socially unacceptable, their love was beautiful..I'm not sure if their love would have lasted if they survived though..
I think it was really brave of Nojima Shinji to touch these issues in a TV drama...especially in 1993!!
Sanada Hiroyuki gave a very good performance. Though I saw him in Ring and The Last Samurai, I didn't particularly think of him as a good looking guy, but I discovered that he is actually quite sexy. Sakurai Sachiko and Mochida Maki were also cute.
Although I was thinking of giving 9 out of 10 for this drama, I'll go with 10 since it was so new to the drama world. This kinda thing can't be aired even in U.S. (I think..)
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) I love everything about this drama. I love Sena and Minami. Too bad Yamaguchi Tomoko is not acting anymore. I wonder if she will every come back to TV?? The soundtrack was great, especially the theme song. The cast was great. The script was great. I still remember a lot of scenes from this drama, though I watched this a long time ago. I love all the kiss scenes, and the last episode and the ending was fantastic.
Love generation [ラブジェネレーション] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama is pretty good. It's themes and plotline were very cliche, and yet it didn't bore me at all. I really liked the chemistry of Kimura Takuya and Matsu Takako here. Takako looks very cute, and Takuya, as always, is oh-so-charming. Also, I didn't dislike the theme song at all.
The problems this couple encounters are very real for sure, and that makes this drama so touching.
However, this drama was VERY similar to Tokyo Love Story. I didn't know this because I watched Tokyo Love Story after this, but when I watched Tokyo Love Story, I was amazed by the similarities in these two dramas.
I think Tokyo Love Story has better plotline and soundtrack, but i'd give this drama 8 just because Takuya looks so cute in this drama.
Nemureru mori [眠れる森] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) I love this drama. Kimura Takuya as Ito Naoki is very darkly sexy and attractive. He looks very good with his long hair here. In every episodes, the secret revealed itself and proposed more questions. I was hooked. Jinnai Takanori and Nakamura Toru gave solid performances.
Another reason I love this drama is its atmosphere. It's scary and dreamy.
I'd give this 9 because it was boring at the first few episodes, but still, a great drama.
It's sad that we can't watch these kind of dramas anymore after Nozawa Hisashi died.
Ningen shikkaku [人間・失格] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) It's really dark, but it's definitely worth watching.
I really liked this drama..
the incidents in this drama, though they are certainly extreme,
the kind of things that happen in real life.
It was really impressive how Nojima Shinji actually brought this on screen...
Plus, Tsuyoshi was very cute,
and Sakurai Sachiko was so pretty..
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) I love this drama. This drama is so funnily weird and quirky.. hahaha; It made me to think a lot about the evil inside us. I especially related a lot with Shuji, because I'm so like him in so many ways. I'm afraid of not being accepted by my peers. Because of that, I wrap myself up. In front of my friends, I'm always smiling and funny. But inside, I get easily depressed and I feel loneliness painfully. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to the this and the overall theme of this drama.
I loved Nobuta because she's so brave, honest, and loyal. The friendship of NObuta, Shuji, and Akira touched me. Definitely recommended.
Also, Yamashita looked cute here. I didn't like him at all when I saw him as a singer and in dragonzakura... But then, he was so cute here..:)
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) It's funny..:) The characters are lovable and all the music in this drama is nice. It's not as good as the original manga though.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) I enjoyed watching this drama. :) As a university student myself, I could sort of relate to the lot of issues the students in this drama face. However, the plot was weak and I was bored from time to time.. I like the lovable characters and nice soundtrack though..:) Satoshi Tsumabuki and Eita are so cute..:) I love Satoshi's smile..
Pride [プライド] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) I can't believe this is written by Nojima Shinji..It's so different with his other dramas. Anyways, this drama was pretty good, but it was just way too cliche. Kimura Takuya looked very good in this drama. Satonaka Haru reminded me of Kimura Takuya in so many ways. My favorite episode is actually ep.1. I loved the scene where Haru carries Aki on the ice. However, toward the end, this drama got a little bit too much.. It's centred too much on Haru, and nobody else. Aki had no real personality as THE 'good girl.' It's a drama making Haru a hero, with a very typical storyline. I especially didn't like the part where Haru sees the goddess of ice. It just ruined the drama...However, it had great soundtrack! Queen's 'I was born to love you' was a great song. I also liked Takuya's hairstyle here....
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) This drama was pretty good..but it was too sentimental for me. The pace was also a bit too slow. Loved the music and the scenery, but the plot....it's just too melodramatic and soapy...
Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi [空から降る一億の星] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) This is the first Takuya drama I watched. All the cast gave great performances, especially Kimura Takuya and Akashiya Sanma. I loved the plot and its eerie atmosphere, as well as great soundtrack. The ending was very sad. It's true that it got predictable toward the ending, but nevertheless, it was still shocking and sad.
Strawberry on the shortcake [ストロベリー・オンザ・ショートケーキ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) THis is the first jdorama i watched. This was the beginning for my love of jdoramas! The storyline was a bit weird at times, though I liked ABBA's songs. Irie's narration was also great. My fav character is Kubozuka Yosuke as Saeki.
Tokyo Love Story [東京ラブストーリー] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama is so sad! Nevertheless, it's very good. I recommend this to people who love trendy dramas. I especially loved the performance of Suzuki Honami who made the character of Akana Rika so adorable. I didn't like the ending at first, but now that I think of it, I think the ending made this drama more beautiful and unforgettable. Sometimes, love is beautiful because it is transient.

Trick [トリック] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I don't know..This drama was funny and strange, but then I guess it's just not really my taste. I prefer something more serious...
Unfair [アンフェア] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) Superb..This drama totally went beyond my expectations.. It wasn't that good until about episode 6. Then, the drama just got very very interesting... The performances of Shinohara Ryoko and Eita were impressive.... The plot was full of surprise...A must-watch..

Wakamono no subete [若者のすべて] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) It deals with many issues that a lot of young adults go through.. As a young adult myself, I could really relate to the drama and the issues the characters go through..I also loved the theme song! Mr. Children's 'Tomorrow Never Knows." Though occasionally boring at times, a good drama that is worth the time.
Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Loved this drama. The theme song, MISIA's Everything, is awesome. Matsushima Nanako is beautiful. Though I'm a girl, I fell in love with Nanako. I loved all the supporting castl. The ending was very good as well. This drama made me happy everytime I watched it.
I felt really sorry for Higashijujo Tsukasa though...
