It may seem like a typical crime drama in the beginning, but it just keeps leading you on with new twists and discoveries.. Then they drop the biggest bombshell at the end and BAM.. you're entirely won over..

Awesome actor... Can portray many different kinds of roles, and not just stick to one "type" of character...
Matsuyama Kenichi [松山ケンイチ]
Odagiri Joe [オダギリジョー]
Oguri Shun [小栗旬]
Great actor. Was particularly good in Summer Snow... I think I saw somewhere that he is going to star in the new live-action Detective Conan drama... *starry eyes*
Tamaki Hiroshi [玉木宏]
He was great in Nodame Cantabile. Can't imagine anyone else playing the part. X3 He was also uber awesome in Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru. He plays a character that deviates dramatically from Chiaki-sama as a more awkward, almost bumbling student. Four thumbs up. :D
Tsumabuki Satoshi [妻夫木聡]
Yamada Takayuki [山田孝之]

This drama is super awesome. I loved it. Of course it was fast paced, and after every episode, I thank my lucky stars that I'm fluent in Chinese and can read the Chinese *fast* since they seem to fly by with difficult law-related vocabulary. But the law cases were very interesting, and in one particular episode, it was heart-wrenchingingly sad as I cried my eyes out. But the characters were entirely loveable and realistic. The only flaw I can point out is that there wasn't enough *chemistry* between the main character, Kaede, and... shoot.. I forgot his name... Well.. the main character and the character that was played by Joe. It just felt 70% of the sparks were coming from her than him, and there were more feelings of admiration than feelings of romance from him... On the other hand, the chemistry between Shinichi and Yasuko's characters was just... spectacular. They were awesome together... Oh. And one more thing. Sometimes Mimura's smile can get a little scary. Or maybe it's just me. 0.o

A pretty interesting drama. It got a point off for the unoriginal idea, but even though this idea has been a little overused in jdoramas, it managed to retain a little bit of original flavor. A small problem with the cast is that sometimes the girls looked too similar. Yes, I realize that they can't help how they look, but they could have at least tried a little more to give them different styles of dress. Also, another thing that bothered me immensely was Hiroshi's expressions, or lack thereof. He had a grand total of three expressions: The most used one was his bemused slight smirk that he kept on throughout the drama, the second was his angry face which is him frowning a little, and the last I can't recall, but there must have been another one. Otherwise, this drama was actually pretty good and had its touching moments and it was actually pretty fun watching them studying and taking all those tests.. X3

It was fun to watch, but it was just a shallow enjoyment... There was almost next to no plot development, only case after case. The relationships didn't really progress, and at the end of the series, it felt like it didn't really go anywhere. The people in there seem intentionally dumb just to make Yukawa seem super smart. The girl seem to be useless as a cop and seem to be unable to solve a single case by herself while Yukawa scribbles nonsensical math equations that seem to have no meaning since his explanations don't really deal with any calculations.... The characters were cute, but this drama could have been better, especially with all of the famous guest stars and the concept.

I definitely think this wasn't Shinohara's best role/drama. I personally found her character offensive and needlessly rude and callous. I really didn't see the reason for her cold attitude. Yes, she got laid off once before, but so what? Her character also seemed somewhat... I don't know.. manly? Her ability to do so many jobs -was- funny, though... But I felt a constant sympathy for Koutaro's character, especially when he has that adorably sheepish and pitiful expression. Anyway, watching everyone around Omae getting stepped all over by her was terrible. But there was a reason I finished watching it: It truly was funny and cute at many parts, especially once Omae stopped being a bitch to everyone. Also, the remaining cast was also wonderful. It was kind of nice watching it, but I wouldn't watch it again.

The cast was pretty talented, all in all, but maybe they could have chosen another girl who could have passed for a guy better... Don't get me wrong, the girl did great, but I think her face is too feminine to be believable mistaken as a guy's. Anyway, the series is funny and light-hearted, and they managed to alter the story a little bit so that Mizuki doesn't seem so much like a stalker. However, there were some moments when some of the wacky/silly scenes seem too forced and fake. The big selling point of the drama is of course, its wonderful casts, but you don't need my saying that. It was a very satisfactory drama with a so-so ending.

This drama actually kinda scares me... A lot of the kids in the class look like a lot of the kids in the chinese school I TA for... 0.0 But yeah.. It's not a typical warm-hearted teacher drama... Pretty good. I like the ending.

I liked this drama a lot mainly because of its main characters. I think I initially watched this drama because of MatsuKen, but the young actress, Ohgo Suzuka, definitely stole the show. Her character was altogether loveable with none of that whininess I find so utterly annoying in many other young female characters. There was awesome character development, showing how both of the main characters matured throughout the show. It was definitely interesting and funny at many parts. Highly recommended.

I think it's done well overall with a few tear-jerkers here and there... But there are some parts where I became a little wide-eyed as I stare at the screen blankly in mild boredom, waiting for more interesting dialog or action to come back. But I still thought it was fine...

I grew really excited when I first started watching this because I recognized most of the "child" actors. Overall, the show is interesting with humor and mystery mixed in very well. The characters were very likeable, especially "Ryuu." Each case was extremely fascinating and not one of those crappy detective shows where the answers are right in front of the characters while they bumble around, obliviously ignoring the obvious. The drama was fun and addicting to watch. A plus was watching for "budding talent."

This was enjoyable, but sometimes the cheese was unbearable. I felt the main girl of the series was insufferable - she simply came off as a whiny, shallow, and simpering golddigger. Some minor details of the drama seem extremely unrealistic, like the age gaps between Taro and his family. For one, his siblings are all considerably younger than him, and his parents also seem way too young. The redeeming points of the drama is it's genuinely cute and funny moments and a handful of the cast's acting talents.

Fighting Girl [ファイティングガール]
-___- [Rating: 4/10]
At the beginning of watching it, I asked myself, "Hmm... what is the plot of this?" An hour later, I ask myself, "Hmm... what is the plot of this?" Two episodes later, I ask myself, "Hmm... what is the plot of this?" Two more episodes later, I ask myself why I'm still watching this. I wait for something, ANYTHING interesting to happen... And except for the mildly amusing parts of one dude trying to hit on one of the girls and him getting drunk, I don't get my prayers answered. It could have been better, I know it could... but the way it was quietly acted out, I was just bored out of my mind as I was at that constant state of where I think something exciting is going to happen. But to the drama's credit, they somehow made it so I was unable to turn off the TV and burn the DVD's. And no, I don't mean burn as in copying burning. Flames. Boom. THAT'S what I mean. That would be more exciting than the actual drama. But maybe something DID happen. I never found out. My sister saved me by stealing it, oblivious to its plot, or lack thereof.
