Fujiki Naohito [藤木直人]
Gosh, I just had to vote for this guy when I found out that he acted in GTO as the friend cop, whom I HAD NO IDEA was Naohita until I checked his dramography. Naohita certainly has great potential as a versatile actor, although he is often casted as a cool, collected hottie.
Tsumabuki Satoshi [妻夫木聡]
I admit Satoshi is dreamy, but that's also because he's the best actor I've seen so far. Few actors can make characters that are subtlely different very distingquished and very relatable. I wanna see more of that Satoshi flavor in dramas!

Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Yes, like everyone says.........this is one hella sad drama. If its viewership was more representative of the world's population, we may have had less materialistic and more appreciative people. I enjoyed this drama because 1) its "final" episode eloquently captured the one or many moments that we must go through in life 2) the characters are unique and strong in their own ways and 3) well, I don't want to spoil it.
Densha Otoko [電車男]

Haven't finished yet. THe main character is kind of annoying, but we'll see.
Gokusen [ごくせん]
Rating: 7/10
Enjoyable to watch, but I think that's about all there was to it. I can't believe how this can make it in the top ten. After watching GTO, it was really hard to not criticize this drama, considering how alike they are. The plot was a bit typical, some lines were extremely corny, and the cameras were all over Matsumoto Jun, (they made him out to be this huge leading character when he really wasn't) hmm.. I wonder why.
Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
There were some meaningful moments, but the drama was paintstakingly boring to watch. What this drama lacks is focus. I wasn't quite sure what the underlying theme was and the drama doesn't give you a chance to fathom what the characters endured. It just goes from problems to problems and you don't really see much of the process. The ending of the episodes barely gave you an idea of what was going to happen next or how it ties to the central plot or theme. There was this one moment when Takuya's acting really drew me in, but the moment was shortlived.
GTO [麻辣教師]

Having partially read the manga and watched the anime, I was a bit skeptical about this one. But no doubt, GTO dorama really grew on me as I realized how hilarious and emotionally moving it was. GTO doesn't have to rely on a love affair or cliche scenarios to win my heart!
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
What a funny and cute tale about a normal girl and some messed up rich kids. I am not a fan of Matsumoto Jun, but he really shined here as the obnoxious but genuine Tsukasa (Tsukasa is coarse when you want him to be, so his character is favorable despite him being such a jerk half of the time). This is definitely a drama for teens, but also for others who enjoy a really good laugh and a kawaii cast.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
I can watch Long Vacation so many times. This is such a memorable, beautiful, and needless to say, poetic, drama. The model friend was a tad annoying, but overall, the characters were very tangible and unique in their own ways. Sena's shy and tender character brings warmth to the drama and Minami's sass brings humour and liveliness to the drama's somewhat slow pace. Of course, some of the most memorable moments are when these two are together. The final scene was one of my favorite. BTW- Long Vacation has a kick-ass OST.
Lunch no Joou [ランチの女王]
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Feel good drama about youth. I couldn't really get into it, but it was nonetheless enjoyable to watch.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Even though the idea of a handicapped person + a good person = potential love is a gimmick of many doramas, this was my first dorama, so it's most definitely among my favorites. Lots of captivating and relatable moments, not to mention Satoshi was kawaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.
Slow Dance [スローダンス]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
The premise of the drama as well as Satoshi and Eri's acting were superb! I especially liked the way some scenes are played out. However, the ending and the barely visible climax was really disappointing given how well the drama played throughout the first 10 episodes. Also, the chemistry between the two supporting characters was not convincing at all. Slow Dance falls short of Long Vacation in this aspect. On similar note: There's this one line that appears in both doramas that is particularly caught my attention! In Long Vacation, there's a billboard on top of Sena's house that says: Don't Worry, Be Happy. In Slow Dance, there's a song that plays where the lyrics are "Don't Worry, Be Happy." coincidence?
Suekko chounan ane san nin [末っ子長男姉三人]

Summer snow
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Heartfelting...must see! There were a lot of events and people in this drama that I could relate to or know in real life. Usually, my bf and I are the types who can sit through a sad movie and not cry, but we got really teary-eyed in the final episode even when we knew (and predicted long ago) what was going to happen! I guess it's because Natsuo and Yuki's characters are so endearing.
