I never really liked tennis before, but gradually I started admiring its sportsmen and women, and as I watched ace o nerae, I understood what kind of hell they go through. Furuta is the man, he's just hilarious here. I have to admit that this along with shotgun marraige are the first dramas I saw for abe hiroshi and I was really impressed by him, I kept a mental note about him and I was surprised by his roles in further shows, he's always been a star. back to hero, don't miss on this show because if u didn't see it, then stop watching jdorama in general!! |

Nagase in his best role to be seen. If you read my other reviews for shows where Nagase stars in, u can see my mutual dislike for him. But in this show, I have to admit that he shined and I was surprised for the well-acted character he impersonated on-screen. Although I have to say that he takes after kimura takuya in the cockieness and the indiferrent attitude played along the show, still Nagase kicked ass here and I've got to give top score for this new formula of teen gangs and real life in tokyo streets. I didn't expect this show to be this good. I mean it's really really good show. Matsu Takako is at the peak of her talent and her impressive chemistry with kimura. I never liked takako before, even though I watched most of her dramas, but I just finished the last ep. this week and I was delighted. I just have three objections:
1- the opening theme is truly terrbile, I mean its not the kind that would be on your ipod at all.
2- the repeative act of kimura falling into errors and takako catching him by mistake is just tiring and bothering, no originality at all. its like kimura has to get tangled by mistake in almost every ep.
3- what's the thing about the glass apple???? |

I can't believe that this is the same Honami from tokyo love story...God, so much changed since then. Anyway, her role is pretty silly as she's the PM's play-wife. I can't swallow michitaka's acting as its pretty stiff and emotionless, I never liked his acting anyway, even in Asunaro hakusho. but Aiko is a such a doll here, I felt sorry for her getting slapped , but it was just funny. Tsuruta Mayu is the ditzy sexy maid and they just made it right, because she's just hot in that maid outfit. generally its an ok show, but avoid for those who are not into politicals jokes and gimmiks. |

I don't know why but I've always thought that Nanako is really mean in real-life, she just looks like it. This show could be her personal diary turned into TV series. Shinichi crying like a baby? com'n, I liked this guy because of his role in Good luck, and I truly lost dude-respect for him when I was him acting like a high-schooler here, it was just ugly u know.
