GTO [麻辣教師] This dorama, in opinion was the mother of all teacher/student doramas. The plot was so great it gave birth to similar school doramas like Gokusen and Gachibaka. I was totally hooked on this dorama. It could be funny or serious when it wanted to. I love Onizuka's way of teaching, he can be my highschool teacher anyday!
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子] This dorama was really cute. The storyline was refreshing and new to me mainly because I've never seen a dorama like it before. They character casting in this dorama was awesome.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] Long vacation...I can't begin to say how great this dorama was. Where to start? As far as I know this is probably the most popular dorama I have ever seen. It's viewship was in the 30s. When I think of doramas, right away I think of Long Vacation. First of all, its what got me back into watch doramas again. The chemistry between Minami and Sena was excellent and I cried in the last few episodes! (and I hardly cry for TV shows) If I had one chance to buy a dorama right now, it would definitely be Long Vacation, hands down. :)
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース] Nobuta wo Produce was brilliant. Because of this dorama, I became addicted to the whole Johnny's Entertainment craze. Mainly because of Yamashita Tomohisa acting as Kusano Akira. He did such a great job especially with those add in lines. The story line was great and it wasn't just another boring high school dorama. Horkita Maki did an excellent job as Nobuko and Kazuya Kamenashi as Shuji.

Akanishi Jin [赤西仁] Before I realized that Akanashi Jin was a member of Kat-tun, I found about him through Gokusen 2 as Yabuki Hayato. Akanashi (or bakanashi for some ;o) is a wonderful actor as well as a cutie. :)
Horikita Maki [堀北真希] Horikita Maki is so cute. I came to find out about her from Nobuta wo Produce as the unpopular quiet girl that Shuji and Akira try to produce. I love her "Nobuta power" Horikita's performance in Kurosagi was awesome too, a great rising actress. :)
Kimura Takuya [木村拓哉] As Kimura Takuya plays a leading role in one of the most popular doramas out there, Long Vacation as Sena Hidetoshi, you come to realize that theres a reason why he plays one of the most memorable characters out there. He is definitely one of my favorite japanese actors.
Matsushima Nanako [松嶋菜々子] Matsushima Nanako, my favorite japanese female actress. Aside from the fact that shes almost in every awesome dorama out there, her acting skills are superior. Matsushima is one of the actresses that can really touch you when it comes to their acting. I was brought to tears while watching Majo no Jouken (Forbidden Love) when she played Michi Hirose. My saying is "if it makes you cry, its gotta be damn good!"
Nakama Yukie [仲間由紀恵] Kumiko Yamaguchiii! Fight OH!
Nakama Yuki played Kumiko outstandingly in Gokusen 1 and 2. I hope to see more doramas with her in it.
Sorimachi Takashi [反町隆史] I came to know Sorimachi Takashi through his most popular role. Eikichi, the Great Teacher Onizuka. Sorimachi was perfect in the role and without him I don't think the show would been as great. Plus, hes married to Matsushima Nanako. :)
Takizawa Hideaki [滝沢秀明] Majo no Jouken (Forbidden Love) was the very first dorama I watched which was back in 1999. My attention immediately went to Takizawa Hideaki in that show. Takizawa is an excellent actor and he continues to excel through the course of his career.
Ueto Aya [上戸彩] Currently, Ueto Aya is my favorite actress. I've come to find out about her through Attention Please which she has done a great job in. But I really enjoy her performance in the movie Azumi! I hope to watch more doramas with her in it.
Yamashita Tomohisa [山下智久] Yamapi. Gosh he must have the most fangirls possible. Everywhere I go its, "Yamapi is soo cute and hes so talented!" I'm not suprised because he really is. Yamapi has the looks and the talent and thats why he deserves to be where he is now. I came to find out about Yamashita Tomohisa through Nobuta wo Produce. I know ladies, I'm a noob. :P Anyways, *switches to fangirl mode* when he played Akira in Nobuta wo Produce he was so cute. I love his little "kon" thing. XD
Gokusen Season 2 [ごくせん２] Gokusen 2 [Rating: 5/10] After watching Gokusen and the Gokusen Special, I wanted to watch more so I downloaded Gokusen 2. The first episode was pretty good because the characters were still being introduced but when it got along to the second episode of the series I suddenly became so tired of it. The storyline is almost exactly like the first season. Kumiko's students get in trouble and now she must save them from becoming "expelled" Blah, I think they could have done much better.
