Kekkon Dekinai Otoko [結婚できない男]
My first jdorama. And what a fantastic experience it was. Abe in perfect role. Since then had watched most of his recent works, but kept coming back to this. In fact, watched KDO 3 times already.... a TV special or part II coming?

Abe Hiroshi [阿部寛]
The Best : beginning from Hero - neurotic Shibayama to Trick - nerdy and goofy Ueda Egao no Hosokou - manga artist who has lost his aspiration Last Lawyer - poor but able to empathize with clients At Home Dad - male ego bashing role Dragon Zakura - hardened lawyer Kekkon Dekinai Otoko - groundbreaking best role so far! Await in anticipation his next dorama role... Dontokoi!
Sawamura Ikki [沢村一樹]
Being new to jdorama, first noted him in Jigoku no Sata mo Yame Shidai (Monster-in-law), where he spoke perfect English! Stellar, heart wrenching and breakthrough performance in Ame to Yume no atoni, but rating was not very high - poor midnight slot telecast in Japan? Should have landed with more lead roles after this.... In Konshu Tsume ga uwako shimasu (My wife is having an affair this weekend), livened up an interesting character despite being supporting cast. Is this the case of the wine getting better with age, like Abe Hiroshi? Now trying to get Chiipu Rabu, one of his earliest work where I read his performance was great as well. If you are reading this, Sawamura-san, Bravo!

Rating: 10/10 (Bought)
Abe in perfect role. Subtle yet most effective in bringing out the quirkiness of Kuwano-san. A little scary as some traits of Kuwano-san reminds me of myself! Love the classical score as well.
