Engine [エンジン]
i thought this would be a boring one for girls cos it might be all about racing/engines, to my surprise the kids in it make such a big difference and it's sweet to see how jiro interacts with them, in an unusual adult-way. unlike kimura takuya's previous classical dramas about love relationships (long vacation, love generation), this one is vey different.
Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!]
Hero
i was told there wouldn't be too much weigh on the love elements in this drama and i thought i wouldn't like it as i LOVE watchinig teary romantic bits in a jdorama. however i didn't find hero boring and it kept me watching from the start to the end. the supporting cast is great. love the way the director shot the scenes from random angles. very funny to see kimura takuya's addiction of tele-sales products.
Hotaru no Hikari [ホタルノヒカリ]
Kamisama mou sukoshi dake [神様、もう少しだけ]
Karei naru Ichizoku [華麗なる一族]
great acting by the cast. i don't usally get hooked by stories which involved too much politics but i greatly enjoy this one! good to see kimura takuya taking up this kind of refreshing role rather than his usual hero-type love-eccentric role. nice try. would love to see teppei staying strong and tough as usual rather than going to this path he chose at the end - kind of discouraging to see him giving up and running away from things after all his courageous fight with the others. kimura and hasegawa look perfect as a couple! hope to see them as an on-screen pair more often.

Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット]

the cast's acting is good but i just find it a bit strange and not logical for 2 human to love each other as a pet & a master/owner...

the ending is sad but i guess that's the best ending that we could get. although i cried my heart out at the end when ryo's letter was read out, i'm glad to see yuko and ryo were 'together' (in a way), finally. very different to the typical usual kind of kimura takuya's classic drama but definitely worth a try. the pace is sometimes slow especially the first few episodes. but do hang in there and don't give up easily, the story will get more and more interesting/intense as you watch on. love all 3 main characters: ryo, yuko, kan-chan!

Love Shuffle [ラブシャッフル]
nice & refreshing [Rating: 9/10]
was originally put off by the idea of shuffling lovers week by week and couldn't understand how the storyline would flow, therefore didn't expect much from it. turned out that it's a really nice drama with a few pleasant surprises. very different to the typical jdorama. would def recommend this to anyone. absolutely love the background music - light and refreshing.
