Horikita Maki [堀北真希] First noticed her brilliant acting but as I watched more of her dramas I started to feel like she is mostly playing the same or similar characters. Would love to see her diversify herself.
Ace wo Nerae! [エースをねらえ!] Rating: 3/10 (Watched) nothing special. I usually like sports dramas but this time thin legs and tennis just didn't go together.
Anna-san no Omame [アンナさんのおまめ] Rating: 5/10 Had its moments but in the end found Anna-san too irritating to continue watching.
Antique [アンティーク〜西洋骨董洋菓子店] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Liked anime better. This one was also good but I thought characters in anime was better. And I didn't like the ending.
Around 40 [アラウンド40] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Slow paced at times, feel-good drama. I liked that there were no "enemy/opponent" type characters that jdramas usually have.
Cat Street [キャットストリート] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Not many people like this but I was pleasantly surprised. A bit if a dark/teary theme and manga was better but this was also good.
Dr Koto - Shinryoujo 2006 [Dr.コトー診療所2006] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) good as second season but too weak for a stand alone series.
I also didnt like the fact that It did not have the feel good feeling of the first season
Dr. Koto Shinryojo [Dr.コトー診療所] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) watched it for Shibasaki Kou. Was fun to watch but not special enough.
Hikari to Tomo ni [光とともに] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) basically a feel good dorama about autism. Follows the structure of school doramas but having a side character highlighted and then forgotten couple of episodes later doesnt work as well here.
On a side note I noticed an ongoing unintentional positive discrimination here which is not so good if you think about it.
Ryokiteki na Kanojo [猟奇的な彼女] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) If this was a stand alone drama instead of a remake of my sassy girl I would have loved it. It was pretty good on its own. But sadly as a remake I was constantly reminded of the original and this was nowhere near as impressive or charismatic as the movie.
