Sore wa, Totsuzen, Arashi no you ni... [それは、突然、嵐のように…]
Unexpectedly engaging [Rating: 9/10]
Like a lot of people who had given reviews before me, Yamapi was the reason why I watched this series. I was also prepared for the possibility that this drama wouldn't be anything special because of the (relatively) low viewership ratings as well the negative reviews that it got. However, when I started watching the show, I got hooked. The story was very subtle, and it worked to its advantage, in my opinion. I beg to differ, but there is definitely chemistry between the lead characters. There is always that feeling of the whole relationship being awkward and wrong, and that's how it should be, as it is a case of forbidden love. It's nothing racy, and it appeals more to a person's feelings and sympathies. I haven't seen the last episode yet, but I can tell that a lot of people were disappointed with it. However, I find this series really touching, and even if I didn't read any reviews about it, I would still see it to the end, because it's really good. I've seen a number of dramas, and it's been a while since I've been excited about a series as I am about this one. A bit underrated, true, but it's something that more mature viewers could perhaps understand and relate to.
