Gokusen [ごくせん]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Heart warming and comedic. A dorky but passionite teacher assigned as the home room teacher to troubled kids. A beautiful story about trust, friendship and hope. All the lead and supporting actors truly touch your heart in this drama- especially Sawada Shin, played by the ever-so-talented Matsumoto Jun. Highly Recommened.
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Personally my favorite drama of all time. From the very begining it caught my attention and held me in. It's unpredictable and exciting, while still romantic and funny. The characters were all perfectly cast and I came to love each and every one of them- and they proved themselves to be actors worthy of such a script. This show is beautifully filmed and has some great music. A love story more than anything else, it's hard for other romances to compare with Hanadan, for the struggles the couples face are anything but ordinary. Truly a must watch.
Hana Yori Dango Season 2 [花より男子]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Just as good as the first season, in my opinion. While some of the same plots remain, new are brought in and add drama. While this season has a lot of angst and hardships, it doesn't fail to be comedic and enjoyable. With this season you learn to the love the characters even more- and get caught up in the love triangles that the show dances around. Like the first season, the music featured is stunning and fitting for the show- the type of songs that put you back into the story the second you listen to them. The moral of the story- love prevails- is shown beautifully and at the end you'll be crying and laughing along with the characters. If you liked the first season, watch this.
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙]

Beautiful. The most heart breaking and inspiring drama I have ever seen. I bawled through the entire thing. Erika's performance was simply amazing. This drama does a good job of really putting you in the main character's shoes- you feel life from her world. Also, by being a true story, this drama has the power to change your life. It definitley changed mine. The main character goes through struggles that are unimaginable to most of us and yet lives to the fullest and continues on. The music is also very fitting and stunning. Everyone should watch this show at least once.
