Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei [コード・ブルー]
Surprisingly good ... [Rating: 9/10]
If you are looking for the usual tear-jerkers, then this is not for you. Code Blue is a medical drama that showcases what a Japanese hospital has to offer. As always, 11 episodes is just too short to put more creative juices in the production but all in all this drama is quite amazing. Helicopters, hi tech hospital facilities, Code Blue was able to pull off an "e.r." type of drama. True that this may not be Yamapi's or Erika Toda's best performances but it's quite pivotal in the sense that they're not just teen idols anymore, they are now actors. Hoping to see more dorama of this kind.
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ]
Nodame Cantabile rules! [Rating: 10/10]
I just finished watching this drama and it was awesome. The infusion of classical music in this drama makes it quite elegant and yet, it's still light and funny. The actors were also able to do justice to the characters they portray. Artists have relatively different temperaments and they were able to capture it in their acting. This is one cool drama.
