14 sai no Haha [14歳の母]
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
Controversial title and synopsis, but the plot itself was thin and many of the character were just too easy to hate [Note: That spoilt boy, I'd like to smack that kid someday!]. Disappointing.
Aikurushii [あいくるしい]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
A charming little story about how life goes on, and your family sticks together through it all, no matter what happens. Nothing that horrifically occurs during the story really, but life is usually not that tragic, and that's the point. Very impressive.
Around 40 [アラウンド40]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
I liked the characters and the general plot of the story too, but on the whole, this drama did feel a bit thin on the ground, if I'm honest. But what would you expect, it's quite a cheesy romance. I'd recommend it, if you like that sort of thing.
Attention Please [アテンションン プリース]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
This was the first Jdorama I ever watched so this opinion is seen through rose-tinted glasses. I liked it very much. The wacky-ness of Misaki is hilarious to me, and her sidekicks react to that attitude very well, especially Yayoi. Not quite as wacky as Nodame Cantabile, but that's understandable. Very good.
Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
My first "Kimutaku" drama. At the time, I thought it was awesome. After a little bit of viewing experience now, it's still very good, not stunning, but good. Nice slow pace, and not really anything happens for a long time, but that's okay.
Byakuyakou [白夜行]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Very stunning story that gripped me to the heart. One characters can get slightly too annoying, and the atmosphere can get pretty dark at times, but if you like that, then great. I heartily recommend.
Chuushingura 1/47 [忠臣蔵 1/47]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with this one. I can't really put my finger on it, but it just didn't feel like the actors hearts were properly into it. In my opinion, for Samurai, look elsewhere.

So, the sequel. I didn't like this one at all. The characters are either twisted are just annoying, and the main issues are actually not as controversial as the original. I think the only inspirational parts of the series were firstly, the environments. The setting of the scene was immensely well done here, especially the main teachers flat, which makes you feel so claustrophobic, like he really is alone. Secondly, the soundtrack. Yes, I will admit that I am a Morita Douji fanboy, but that doesn't stop me from saying it. But 1993 even beat this one on the soundtrack too, 'cos this drama pretty much uses "Bokutachi no Shippai" all the time. 1993 had a nice selection of her works. On the whole, okay, its bearable, but there are much better dramas out there.
Last Friends [ラスト・フレンズ]
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
Such a great cast went to waste here. The first episode is most probably the best of the series, because it's a great episode. Really, it is. The characters are slowly crossing paths, secret traits are appearing, and the picture of things to come is slowly being painted in. Frankly, I thought the first episode was genius. But after that, it all falls apart. Minimal character development, and cheap bait-and-switches at every episode preview. This could have been great, but it failed miserably. Oh, and did I also mention that the theme song was used way too much!!

Tsubasa No Oreta Tenshitachi 1 [翼の折れた天使たち]
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
This drama was really disappointing to me, the characters must've really fallen to get to where they are! I just don't like pathetic characters, really. It does have some highlights however, the webcam episode was the best of the four, and some scenes were quite funny to me. Intentional? Maybe...
