First Kiss [ファースト・キス] One of Inoue Mao's best acting dramas. Though I liked her in Hana Yori Dango, I honestly preferred her to be with Rui than Domyouji in that series. I'm in love with her acting. Though First Kiss's story leaves a lot to be desired(a shift of the storyline outside of the sister-brother plot would have been nice), it still is a rollicking story watching Mao.
GTO [麻辣教師] Undoubtedly one of the best jdramas ever. And even though the years will go by, it will undoubtedly never lose its charm. From the casting down to the story to everything else, it is one of the classics. A must watch for anyone even those remotely interested in jdramas.
Love generation [ラブジェネレーション] My very first KimuTaku and Takako Matsu drama. Frankly, i never thought they were big names in jdramas when I watched this. The picture was old and I was watching it for lack of anything better. Imagine my surprise when I realized that I was hooked. Their matchup is definitely a great one.
Lunch no Joou [ランチの女王] I'm a Yuko Takeuchi fan for ever. Though I would really love for the fruition of their love towards the end of the series (it is kinda hanging), the series is one hell of a Yuko and Tsumabuki treat, a must for any Yuko fan
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ] O Nodame, you took my heart away! The years will bear testament to the gem of a series that is Nodame Cantabile. Full of laughter and poignant moments that will continue to tug at the heartstrings no matter how long time passes by.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Another gem of a jdrama. Probably Kou Shibasaki's best drama. Her chemistry with Satoshi reinforces the dramas hold to ones imagination.
Pride [プライド] I love Pride. Though I must admit that it would have been much better if Aki's old boyfriend never came back to muddle up the later episodes which would have made Pride an instant classic. But fast forwarding those parts and simply focusing on the Aki-Halu interactions is worth it.

Inoue Mao [井上真央] One of the best young actresses in jdramas. Loved her in Hana Yori Dango and First Kiss. There is a maturity in her that her roles rarely use. Put her in meatier roles and she would not disappoint. Hopefully time will make her transcend her teeny bopper roles.
Sawajiri Erika [沢尻エリカ] I must admit that her acting in Taiyo no Uta and 1 Litre of Tears are tearjerkers but there is something raw still about her acting. She will continue to grow with the years and hopefully jdramas will continue to polish the gem that she is.
Takeuchi Yuko [竹内結子] The quintessential japanese woman (yamato nadeshico). Her charm is a rare thing that comes shining only once in a millennium. Her smile is angelic (who wouldn't melt in that sweetness). But, barring her beauty and her cuteness, her acting is one of the best in jdramas which in my opinion is the best in the business. More serious roles for her in the future will mold her into one of jdramas greatest actresses.
Tsumabuki Satoshi [妻夫木聡] Next to KimuTaku, Tsumabuki is the best actor in jdramas (which would raise a lot of eyebrows) but honestly, look at his acting and then judge him. Though he is handsome, he does not actually rely on this to carry his jdrama roles like the rest of the other male idols. He has a maturity that will make him one of jdramas best actors in the coming years, maybe even make him one of the greatest actors in jdramas (mark my words)
Ueno Juri [上野樹里] Out of all the young actresses, I'd say Juri is way above the pack. She might not have had many main roles prior to the groundbreaking Nodame Cantabile but if you look at her in Nodame and Last Friends, you would say that she is one of the stalwarts of jdramas, worthy of more and more and more...
