Gokusen [ごくせん]
its ok [Rating: 7/10]
I do not regret watching this, but I admit it kinda got boring for me because of the same routine. It's still nice to see how her relationship with the students progressively changes.
GTO [麻辣教師]
Watch it! [Rating: 8/10]
Definately watch it! This drama is one of my all time best because it is very funny and touching. You will not regret watching this.
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子]
Loved it [Rating: 9/10]
I really enjoyed this drama. Its cute and funny and i can't believe how stupid Tsukasa can be. I wouldn't mind watching it again. It's definately worth the watch, even though there is a second season and a movie.
Hana Yori Dango Season 2 [花より男子]
worth the watch [Rating: 7/10]
I was a bit annoyed at first because it almost seemed like all that love and effort from season 1 was brought back to square one. But having watched both seasons and the movie and now looking back, I think it was still worth watching because it was still cute and funny to watch. Its definately enjoyable and a very popular drama at that.
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙]
meh [Rating: 6/10]
A great selection of cast. I think every actor fit their character perfectly. I think I sorta ruined the story for mysef. I already knew the storyline befor watching it, so I guess I was anticipating the worst and thus I didn't cry. But it is surely a very sad story. It can be difficult to watch sometimes when you see how bad things can get [ for Aya].
Koizora [恋空]
save yourself time and watch the movie [Rating: 5/10]
I think my tittle pretty much wraps it up. I've watched the movie first, and honestly i loved it. I cried and cried and really loved it. The movie was able to give you a full story with all the emotion in 2 hours, whereas the drama simply stretched it into 6 episodes. I dont think that was necessary. Sure it filled in some blanks, but i could have lived without it. The movie has more mystery whereas the drama keeps no secret. You know everything that is going on. I found that Hiro was a stronger character in the movie, whereas the drama Hiro is short tempered and violent. I just dont see how i nice quiet girl could fall for him. In any case, I would definately recomend to skip the drama and go for the movie.
Love Shuffle [ラブシャッフル]
There are better out there, but its not that bad. [Rating: 6/10]
I think I'm very picky with my dramas and prolly am too harsh in my comments. Anyways, I found this drama kinda long at times. The character dynamics were interesting, there are some interesting mysteries and who doesn't love PANDA! The drama definately had good moments, funny moments, things that you will remember for a long time ( watch out for a kiss scene with shota and hiroshi!!!). Perhaps i'm just old fashion and were at odds with the entire concept of love shuffle.
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ]
love it [Rating: 9/10]
You will definitely fall for the characters in this drama. Very enjoyable, hilarious, and great music and ambiance!
Smile [スマイル]
story of courage and hope [Rating: 7/10]
To be honest, the only reason why I watched this was because of Matsumoto Jun. It was a sad, unfair, trajedy but at the same time warm and loving drama too. I cried during the last few episode and because it was able to move me like that, I like it. There is also great acting from Oguri Shun.
Tokyo DOGS ~ Saiaku de Saiko no Partner [東京DOGS]
worth a watch [Rating: 7/10]
I wasn't expecting too much from this drama, but I found it pretty entertaining. I loved Hiro and Shun from long ago and I enjoyed watching their fights and disagreements and awkward moments. The pairing it similar to Rush Hours, but its still very funny and I definately enjoyed it.
Zettai Kareshi [絶対彼氏]
absolute watch [Rating: 10/10]
I think this is one of my fave dramas. I found it so warm and loving. During the last few episodes, I couldn't stop watching and stayed up until the wee hours in the morning to finish the series and cried my eyes out. It's a definite must watch for any romantic out there. There is also a movie after the series, but I didn't enjoy it much, frankly. It felt like starting at point A and then 2 hours later, coming back to point A. THe movie did not contribute to much progress of the story, I found that it was a mere attempt to bring you the same emotional turmoil from the series, but didn't quite get to me. But the drama is definately worth it.
