Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ] what makes this dorama really good is that it avoids the mush trail that many tragic love stories take (although you need to have a hanky on hand in some episodes). i swear, you will never forget shuji and kyoko after seeing this. they'll make you laugh, cry and all giddy inside!
GTO [麻辣教師] funny, unconventional, and endearing, this series gets my vote for the best dorama ever! sorimachi takashi is just perfect as onizuka and nanako was charming as ms. fuyutsuki. the supporting cast was equally great (nice to see a young kubozuka yosuke here). gto should be included in any jdorama lover's list!
Hero anything that has takuya in it is never disappointing. if he's great as a pianist in long vacation and as a sales agent in love generation, he's as equally awesome as an unusual lawyer out to save the day in this delightful dorama.
Hotman [ホットマン] an endearing family drama that will win takashi sorimachi more fans (because i think he's cuter here, though a little bulkier). he's as equally charming here as in gto.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] the may-december love plot has been done and redone, but long vacation takes the cake for being the best ever! it's also great to see a young takuya kimura and takako matsu in this charming tale of love lost-and-found again in the most unusual places and with the most unsual persons (you'll get my point after knowing who takuya and takako end up with!).
Love generation [ラブジェネレーション] takako matsu as riko is funny and takuya kimura as teppei will just charm anyone's pants off. a romantic drama that anyone would love!
Virgin Road [バージンロード] this dorama has a great storyline. i like the fact that it emphasizes women empowerment. wakui was great as a soon-to-be-mom dealing with family, love and career issues. i also love the unpredictable ending. a must-see for any female dorama lover!

Kimura Takuya [木村拓哉] whether he's cutting hair, playing the piano or winning cases as an unconventional public prosecutor, takuya kimura morphs into his roles without totally losing the attitude and charm that makes him and his characters oh-so-loveable!
Matsu Takako [松たか子] she and takuya make one of the best on-screen couples in jap dorama-dom.
Matsushima Nanako [松嶋菜々子] charming and sweet in gto, anyone would love to have her for a teacher! she's equally engaging in the ring, if i may say so :P
Sorimachi Takashi [反町隆史] i honestly think gto wouldn't be that great without him playing onizuka! he's equally awesome in virgin road and hotman.
Tokiwa Takako [常盤貴子] takako is the perfect kyoko. she's funny, loveable and just darn good in beautiful life.
