Dekichatta Kekkon [できちゃった結婚] I saw serveral series prior to Shotgun Wedding, but this was the first one I really liked. Also the first drama I saw wtih Horosue, which caused me to temporarily become obsessed with her.
Golden Bowl [ゴールデンボウル] The first dorama I ever saw, so I'll always remember it. There were some beyond cheezy aspects of the show, but overall I enjoyed it.
Star no Koi [スタアの恋] My favorite dorama ever. After watching the first two episodes I didn't really think anything of it. After the 3rd ep I was hooked. And Fujiwara Norika has NEVER looked better. And Hasegawa Kyoko and Hiroko Anzai are also incredible. Great cast + weird story = dorama goodness.
Trick [トリック] If I would sumarize Trick in one sentence it would be "A lower budget, but funner Japanese version of the X-Files". The cast was great: Nakama and Abe, the two detectives, and the hot mom (milf imo). The soundtrack get way overused though... it starts to get annoying hearing the same chimes and sound effect for each clue and each punchline. Still, a great show. If a little repetitive with the way the mysteries are solved.

Anzai Hiroko [安西ひろこ] Only two votes? TWO!?! She's too hot to only have two votes. (Notice how many times I wrote 2 in the previous sentence... you witty bastard) She was annoying in Star no Koi, but she's hot. You guys have to be more superficial when you vote. Hotness is the only thing that matters.
Fujiwara Norika [藤原紀香] If I had only seen Friday's Lovers and Love Gen, then I would not have thought much of Noriko. Star no Koi changed my opinion of her. She is extremely beautiful and classy... and she has a spectacular but! In Star no Koi she was the epitome of perfection. San Marcos Ham for life!
Hasegawa Kyoko [長谷川京子] I've seen Star no Koi, Pretty Girls, and Itsumo Futari de, but it wasn't until I saw her Coke commercials that I realized that underneath her cute exterior, was an even sexier exterior... if that makes any sense. Download her commercials and you'll understand what I'm talking about. Trust me on this one. On a personal note, she seems a natural to play the "nice" girl, unfortunatley this means most of the characters she plays are rather boring. It's fun watching her though...
Hoshino Mari [星野真里] Too cute for words. Its true that she can have that weird, confused look at times, but it works for her.
Itoh Misaki [伊東美咲] Misaki is simultaneoulsy cute and sexy and cute... and sexy. I've only seen her in You're Under Arrest and random commercials, but she's hot, funny, and charesmatic. And because of this, girls must hate her... Be nice to her everyone!
Nakama Yukie [仲間由紀恵] Very, very pretty and funny... and pretty. In Trick they made fun of her "flat breasts"... I dunno, they seem fine to me. I've never actually seen them up close, but I'm sure there as cute as she is.
Sawajiri Erika [沢尻エリカ] Amazing actress in 1 Litre of Tears. She totally became the character she was playing. I hope she has a great acting career and moves beyond modeling.
Suzuki Honami [鈴木保奈美] As Will Ferrel would say she's a very classy babe. Its suprising how attractive she is, considering she doesnt play characters who are "supposed" to be good looking. Great actress, probably one of the best actresses in Japan.
Yada Akiko [矢田亜希子] Cute as heaven. (I didn't want to write cute as hell becase that would be rude). It's too bad that she is so cute though, just by looking at the shows she has done you know she is being pigeon-holed into the "cute" girl roles.

Nanisama! [なにさまっ！] One of my favorite doramas ever [Rating: 9/10] When I started watching Nanisama! I had EXTREMELY low expectations. There are so many cliches in most Japanese office-romance doramas that I figured Nanisama would be no different. Some of those cliches do exist, but the writers and actors present those conventions in a completely original and often hilarious way.
Wedding Planner [ウエディングプランナー] Your mission: Watch Episode 8 [Rating: 9/10] Innitially I didn't think much of Wedding Planner. The premise seemed lame and the lead actor reminded me of this annoying guy in my high school. I thought the girls were even worse. However, for some reason I held onto the show for over a year and on a whim started watching one day. It follows the standard episodic frame of most doramas, but it just does it in a more interesting and hillarious way. What really made this show stand out, was when Toru would go home for dinner. His family was absolute comedy - they should consider making a show about them. Episode 8 was probably the single funniest episode of a show I've seen in a long time... if you had to watch only one ep, watch that one. Overall, I give it an 8.5. You'll laugh, you'll cry (if you're a girl), and Ito Aymumi is kinda hot!
