Succeeds at being very funny and touching, despite the fact that 80% of the script is YELLING and RAISED VOICES | Sensei shiranaino? [先生知らないの？]
Underrated [Rating: 10/10]
This is my favorite dorama to date. It deals with real-world problems that kids can face. The resolution of each issue is NOT through some flamboyant hero, superhuman abilities, or luck & external circumstances. It was through honest, gentle, caring people who can express their philosophies and view of life & growing up in a way that kids can understand... and the good part is that they did it without being too preachy which would have been a real turn-off. The main character is even kept down-to-earth because he makes mistakes too, just like you and me. I think even real teachers and parents can pick up on a lot of this. |
