You have always been cutting edge, dear.

I like my discs though. I'm just not ready to take that final step. Beaten

Already on ep 13 of Shaman King. Asakura Yoh and his Samurai spirit are so dear.

I'm so much cutting edge as I am someone tired of stacking tons of polycarbonate circles that take up so much space! Smile

I'm glad I followed One Piece from the start, would never have time to catch up 590 episodes Beaten other than I don't have time to try out new series...and the majority is schoolkid stuff. somehow I'm not into that Naughty

If you're into cyberpunk genre, I can recommend Psycho Pass (just ended), first show since GITS to be taken serious.

Shaman King is nice, even though I don't remember much of it, I definitely remember the dude searching for his besto plasu hehe

LOL! SHaman King was fun again. Not overly memorable in deatail.

I am too cheap to join Hulu for One Piece episodes so I guess Im going to have to start something else. Beaten

Just finished a recent anime. Hanasakeru Seishōnen, which was fun. A teenage girls fantasy mixed with plots and intrigue. It was catchy and it worked.
Trying Blast Of Tempest- 3 eps in and still undecided. Maybe I'll just go back to NAruto. hehe

Haven't watched anime in quite a while, but with the dorama spring season being so bad this year I've started watching Aku no Hana. The story is high school angsty. The animation is rotoscope and doesn't always look so nice, but really seems to work with the story. Till now it's effin' brilliant! I really fell in love with the series!

I recently read on the Japan Today website that there will be a live-action movie of the manga/anime Patlabor.

There was a short period of time many years ago when I watched a lot of anime, and Patlabor was probably my favorite series. For me it wasn't about the mecha (I'd be hard pressed to think of another series I watched that had giant robots); it was about the characters in the series. In retrospect it reminded me a lot of the jdorama Shomuni, only instead of being in a corporate setting, it was in a police unit.

The series had the good sense to focus on characters rather than on giant robots; I suppose it would be too much to wish this upcoming movie would do the same.

Finished watching Psycho Pass, a recommendation given to me from a friend in Japan. Really great anime from Production I.G. Very much in the vain of Ghost in the Shell, Minority Report and Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World." Cool characters, meaningful themes, and a healthy dose of action.

A second season has already been announced. Highly recommended.

Sounds very interesting.

Im watching the latest version of Hunter X Hunter, apparently it follows the manga more faithfully but also continued where the other left off. Since I really liked it the first time Im really enjoying it the second as well. Thumbsup

Cool. After taking months to finish Attack on Titan, I finished Psycho Pass very quickly, for me, in a matter of two weeks or so.

Been watching Log Horizon and Yo... Pedal (cant remember the name)...

Log Horizon is pretty good though - initially seems like a copycat of SOA but this one emphasizes the MMOrpg genres more...
I guess if you like playing mmos, you may like this anime.

'Lupin the Third' to return after 30 years

Monkey Punch's manga 'Lupin the Third' will be returning as a new TV anime series in 2015.

'Lupin the Third' has received a spin-off anime 'LUPIN the Third -Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna-' in 2012 and a spin-off movie 'LUPIN THE IIIRD Jigen Daisuke no Bohyou' in 2014. The upcoming anime series will be the first since the original aired 30 years ago, back in 1984 and 1985. It will depict the activities of Lupin and his gang in the Republic of San Marino, Italy.

Tomonaga Kazuhide, Yano Yuichiro, and Takahashi Yuya will work together to produce the new anime series. It's scheduled to begin airing on Italy's broadcasting station RTI before it's released across the globe.

Nope. Don't watch anime at all. (Unless Bugs Bunny and the Roadrunner are considered anime hehe ). I just saw that item and thought this thread needed to have some of the cobwebs dusted off. cleanup

I'm watching Psycho Pass season 2 which just started this month. The first season was one of the most popular anime's in Japan. It's about an utopian society safeguarded and ordered by technology a la Minority Report and Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. The first season is available on Netflix, with Japanese subtitles even!

Check it out it's very cool.

Im needing something so that sounds like a good choice.

I saw a sci-fi series recently called Jyu Oh Sei. Basically Master of Beasts (a little irony here. Wink ) which was quite stylish and fast paced. Not my usual fare. But watched it in a couple of nights. Victory! Peace!

Broken record time: Nodame Cantabile. Mr Green

Movies, but definitely worth a look: Pretty much anything from Studio Ghibli is good, particularly Princess Mononoke (Mononoke Hime) and Kiki's Delivery Service (Majo no Takkyuubin). There's also Grave of the Fireflies: Poignant and heartbreaking, but exceptionally well-made.
