Masaki Okada stars in drama special

Young actor Masaki Okada will star in his first television drama next month. The screenplay for the drama, titled "Fukidemono to Imouto," is written by Isamu Haruna. It won TV Asahi's 7th Shinjin Scenario Taisho, a contest for new writers.

The fantasy story revolves around a young part-timer (Okada) who has a "pimple" under his nose. One day, a flower starts to bloom from it. It turns out that the pimple is somehow connected to his younger sister, who is hospitalized due to an illness.

The cast includes Wakana Sakai, Junpei Mizobata, Naomi Akimoto, and Kazuyuki Asano. TV Asahi will air the show on March 1 at 1:55pm.

i can't wait for it.. the drama looks interesting. i have this kind of comedy-sad drama feeling type...

I think he's a fresh face that shows a lot of promise. I watched Jyuryoku Pierrot and became interested in his work. Now watching Otomen at the moment, which is really fluffy and (thankfully) doesn't take itself very seriously. It's refreshing that he's not just another pretty face but seems like a natural at acting too.

Appearance wise, he kinda reminds me of a mix of Kashiwabara Takashi and Ando Masanobu. Talk about a perfect combination. Seems like he's doing a lot of movies lately, so there's a lot to look forward to! Maybe he's taking the Ando route and choosing movie work over dramas?

i watched his movie with Inoue Mao ... the Boku Hatsukoi .. (what was that again?!), i can feel he can manage to be a lead, having that innocent face

Masaki Okada added to the cast of 'Legal High'

Okada Masaki has been added to the cast of the 'Legal High' drama sequel that will premiere in October.

In the sequel, Okada will play 'Hanyu Haruki', a rival of 'Komikado Kensuke' (Sakai) and 'Mayuzumi Machiko' (Aragaki). While he confronts the two during every lawsuit, he seems to show an interest in Mayuzumi.

Okada, who will be co-starring with Sakai and Aragaki for the first time, commented, "I am very happy to participate in the drama 'Legal High', which I am a fan of myself. I am also excited to act with unique actors like Sakai-san and Aragaki-san."
