The press conference for Koshonin ~ The Negotiator was held on 9 January. Actors Kakei Toshio, Yonekura Ryoko, Jinnai Takanori, Takahashi Katsumi, Suzuki Kousuke, Shirota Yuu, Takaoka Sousuke and Takachi Noboru attended the event.

The drama depicts Usagi Reiko, who desired a posting to the metropolitan police's Special Investigation Team (SIT), dealing with crime and her organisation while isolated in the male-dominated world of the SIT. Jinnai Takanori and Takahashi Katsumi, act in supporting roles as Ryoko's superiors. Also, Hayashi Tantan, who won the grand prix at the 11th All-Japan Beauty Contest in 2006 stars as Ryoko's sister, Usagi Mio.

Commenting on a scene that left an impression on her in her first role as a police detective, Ryoko smiled wryly as she said, "There's a scene in Ep 2 in which the criminal demands that I undress. I thought no way would there be an undressing scene in a police drama ..." "This is a production with a good script, good producer and good female lead. I've always been together with Muroi Shigeru-san at TV Asahi but this time it's with Yonekura-san. My heart pounded." Jinnai Takanori, who acts as Kirisawa Keigo, who strongly dislikes Reiko, commented. "Besides Yonekura-san, there're the bitter faces of Ibu Masato-san, Osugi Ren-san, Sasano Takashi-san and others. It felt like 'bitter men paradise'." Takachi Noboru made everyone laugh when he spoke of his thoughts on Ep 1, "I watched Ep 1 with my wife (actress Takahashi Reiko) and she saw Yonekura-san's style. 'It's annoying because it's terrific. Ask how that sort of great style can be achieved.' I was told."

The drama premiered on 10 January and will be shown every Thursday from 9.00 p.m to 9.54 p.m.

still can't tell, she's covering too much. but i'll guess that it's a P229, or some other single stack compact... possibly a 40sw from the bore size. Mr Green

Guess you'll have to watch the drama... At least until the gun appears. Wink

Watched ep. 1, IMO much better than SP. The sets are more realistic and the drama has a more gritty and down-to-earth feel to it.

Didn't see Ryoko chan carry any guns in this episode but I seem to remember an image from the drama of her w/ a P230. See if this image helps:
