next Gozilla movie? I read that they won't produce more Gozilla movies in Japan (or at least no more for the next few years), after all, they have produced 50 Gozilla movies.

The last Godzilla movie will star Matsuoka Masahiro of Tokio and Kikukawa Rei. I believe they discussed this in the Tokio thread. Smile

Yeah, Mabo will play the leading role alongside Kikukawa Rei. I think the movie will be released in December. And yeah, we discussed it a long ago in Tokio thread.

Whoever Godzilla: Final Wars features, I heard this is THE BIG ONE among all the big Gojira films.

Directed by Ryuhei Kitamura. My goodness. Can we expect a giant Yakuza zombie as a twist? hehe Can never tell with that guy. Already, I hear it's got SPOILER AHEAD superhero mutants involved in the mix (no, apparently not THOXSE cinematic superhero mutants).

Anybody pick up that definitive Gojira boxed set, which measures about the same length of our fav' giant reptillian if he were to lie down? I mean, seriously, the size o' this thing might give a stack that includes the existing Lord of the Rings (LOR) director's cuts (include the upcoming one in November) and if Peter Jackson decided to release more special ed' LOR trilogies (which I hear as a rumour).

On a sorta' related note . . . anybody see the recent Aliens vs. Predator? 'NOTHER SPOILER AHEAD That alien queen . . . was as big as a house in a whaling community at the very least.

Could an alien queen vs. Gojira film be in our future? Oh, all I gots to say is Yes! .

50 Gozilla movies already ???? the only one I have seen is the one with French actor Jean Reno !!
If this new movie is filmed in France , I'd really love to know where and when !? any ideas ?

I am really looking forward to it. I heard that this will be the final Godzilla movie (But I doubt it, maybe the final one for a while...) Cool!

Nada. THAT one was handled wrong -- weren't the original 1933 RKO King Kong creators not involved with the matchup? We must needs a true collaboration (maybe Geiger himself'll team up with the Toho folk; start writing ya'll's letters now).

If not the alien queen (come to think of it . . . she wasn't THAT big enough to fight Gojira) . . . then some other creature. The Kraken from Clash of the Titans? [The Man shields face with arms]

Hey..we've been discussing this thing in Tokio thread a long time ago.
Along side with our random discussion about Godzilla's kicking ass stunt and its back flip..since Ryuhei Kitamura is directing the movie. Beaten

wonder how large gozilla will be in the last movie, in the first ones he was 50m, but tokyo has been growing and new skyscrapers have come so they had to make gozilla up to 100m so he wouldn't disappear xD
maybe he'll one day be 1000m (in his 1000 years anniversery movie Nut )

Hahha. That's pretty good. The only problem, though, is that you'd have a film where the other monsters just run away from Gojira if s/he was that tall.

What IS the universal agreement on Gojira's gender anyway?

Anybody know anything about the re-release of the very first Gojira film? Man . . . THAT would be something to see on the big screen [The Man crosses his fingers that the upcoming Hawaii International Film Festival screens that film.].

well..the other mosters would of course grow too. else gozilla would have to trash the buildings just to search for it's opponent instead of just trashing them for fun Bleah

and I think gozill is female, not sure though. but at least "she" got her Minira, but maybe those monsters are like some frogs and have both genders Bleah

and don't know if it's a re-release of the first movie but there is a gozilla dvd box in japan with all gozilla movies so far, but it costs a fortune for a little student like me so I'll have to wait with getting it Sad

It is agreed that Godzilla is a male. The young Godzilla's were actually just from the same race as Godzilla him finding them and adopting them.

There have been a total of 27 or 28 Godzilla movies not 50.

Final Wars is slated to be the last Godzilla film for 5-10 years until new talent is found.

And yes I am a nerd. Shameful Cry

Unless this movie has Ultraman in it, it will flop.
