I dont mind Yamazaki from the UNTOUCHABLE but have to say, like most people say in JAPAN, his partner, SHIBATA is better...he`s more quick and has a the ability to bring out the best in Yamazaki.

I'm going back to Osaka to start my own manzai duo...instead of naming my group DOWNTOWN...it will be called CLOWNTOWN.

i like japanese comedy, but i've to say that don't know any comedian by name. i just watched it with my hostfamily without paying much attention to the names of the comedians or the show's names.

my japanese isn't that good yet, so i didn't understand everything, but it's funny even if you understand only 1/3 of the jokes xD'

there was one show, i guess its pretty famous, with several people in kimono, sitting on ...cushions? and one pretty old man who who gave them some tasks (like sentences or words they had to use in their story)
The winner got some of the other's contestants chushions.
It's a more traditional show.. and i think the stage is the NHK stage... but im not sure...

Does one of you, by any chance, know the name of the show?

Sounds like Shoten. My parents and grandparents would watch it all the time but I don't think I've ever known enough Japanese to understand a tenth of it.
