Wow... I seriously didn't know it's ttthhhhattt serious...
I admit I don't read the papers...
though I remembered there was a court case against Kazaa? But I remembered reading in Computer Times later that it was resolved?
Other than Winmx, I'm also using Kazaa Lite, is it safe? Sad

I watch tech tv last week on Astro....
if you go to tech tv website...there are list of name that been target of downloading illegally on internet...
these name are detected by "i donno what company"...but same like police except it's cyber police who can check your IP address and send to our local internet provider and then ask them to block our IP....but i donno if it work...
not only that...they also will give our IP to their client who want to take court action againgst us (downloader)....
so now beware when downloading on internet....

now i stop any downloading whatever kind of software/anything that available now....
coz this company is very good in their job...

they are really trying to suck the fun out of the internet. Prettty soon it might not be a place of free ideas and what ever happen personal privacy. I don't think they have the rights to track what website i visit or what i dl. If i like a song or an artist i usually go out and buy their stuff.

Kazaa lite=Kazaa. Kazaa lite is a hacked version of Kazaa. the Spyware components have been removed in Kazaa lite.

Dunno for them. I dun download movies off WinMx. WinMx is the best P2P for Jpop in my opinion Smile As for the Asian movies, try Emule I hear it's superb for downloadin Asian movies! If you're familiar with IRC, IRC is a superb source for Jpop and not to mention ftp if you have "contacts" hehe

I have to agree with Pemu. WinMx is one of the best p2p for Jpop...better than Kazaa. I use Winmx, and have downloaded tons of great stuff (music, video clips from tv shows, music videos, movies, etc...), which you can't get from Kazaa. Smile

Yeah. Kazaa is probably the most popular P2P, more users! Have to agree WinMx isn't as popular as Kazaa, less users! At least WinMx is more secure than Kazaa. the record association wants Kazaa's head, WinMx is not on the list as far as I know. You'll get used to it. Try to download the goods at the peak time, more users, more traffic, hehe Smile Besides not all ppl have jpop Wink

they're going after the ones who share ALOT of files.
i.e. the MTV news keeps mentionin that the RIAA is going after a grandfather who d/led his favorite oldies songs..

kinda sad how they're going after ppl
the first few individuals to be hit were not really kazaa users, but college kids who created serach engines that enabled their campus to search for files.

what do you mean when you say a lot..?? as in 700, 800?? or 100, 200??

Japanese cds are expensive, around 30 $ per album. Making them is also expensive. Oversea copies are prefered due to its inexpensive prices.
Why so pricey in Japan? simple, Japan has a high living standard compared to other countries, bigger pay which means bigger cost. You can see how much they spend money on a single booze trip at a hostess bar Wink
Food products such as beef, apple, melon etc. look at the prices Shake Head Alcohol too
