I have been seeing the commercial to this a lot lately on the Japanese channel I watch(I pay a monthly fee for the NHK channel) for "Hagetaka:Road to Rebirth" (Preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytFJOoNLA8I ) And was wondering if anyone has seen it? I was wondering if it is a movie(short film), or a series.:/ It looks neat, and has my fav. actress in it._ (Chiaki Kuriyama)

It's a short 6 episode drama series about corporate acquisitions: http://jdorama.com/drama.1135.htm. Haven't seen it yet.

Hagetaka won top prize in the drama category of the 59th Prix Italia in Verona, Italy.

It was brilliant. And CK as journalist, wow, she was great. It was kind of funny to see her in a school uniform again in the backflashes. I liked it so much that I had to get the DVD. First place in Verona was definitely deserved. Soundtrack's pretty good, too.
