question related to the dorama is: who played the vegetable guy? he likes Yada Akiko's character right? anyway, i would like to know if he acted in other dorama or movie?
thanks
and of course, thanks Studio Oto for the great dorama. |
Good question. I've seen him in other dramas before, but I have no idea what's his name. I know he is starring in his own drama this season though. However, I don't recall the name of that.

My Little Chef totally rocked.
But unless your someone that likes food-themed stories, it's not likely to be a dorama for you. There are no serious car chases, violence, love triangles, spy intrigue, fashion-show like glamour scenes of the actresses and actors, touristy cinematography, expensive and exotic cars, et cetera. Thus, My Little Chef depends a lot more on the story and characters, which is fine with me!

Definitely worth watching! |
Yeah, there's a focus on broken families and redemption in My Little Chef.
As Paul Simon sang, "I want a shot at redemption."

This is why I think threads about; Which are the Good Shows?... Which are the Bad Shows!... Which are the Important Shows? are a waste of space.
I watched all of "My Little Chef" and I thought it was one of the most pointless, vapid little confections ever to flit across my TV screen.
I watched it because I'm a big fan of some of the actors and actresses in it.
I watched it because I love shows that feature people doing something really well. Especially cooking. (But they didn't do any cooking in this show, did they? They showed the star tug her ear, they created a lighting effect, and then they showed a finished dish, and rambled on about how that dish will solve the customers personal problems. Jeez-Oh!)
In my opinion, it wasn't funny, it wasn't touching, and it wasn't compelling. Good grief, even Hiroshi Abe couldn't make this thing interesting.
It was, as I said earlier, "Love Boat" in a Restaurant... But without the laughs.
AND YET...
pcmodem and Nihon-jin and lunas and a bunch of others absolutely loved it.
And guess what? They're not wrong for having loved this show.
And I'm not wrong for having been bored and disappointed by this show.

Yep, and I fully support Geezer's opinion. Each of us has different taste (pun intended with respect to My Little Chef). One of the things that can make this forum a great place is that when we have differing views, we can express them in an diplomatic and well-informed manner.
Some of the most educational experiences I've had come from discussions with those of entirely different viewpoints.

To me they don't have to make much point I always go with the feeling I get from them. Although I gave it a top grade I'll have to say top grades are divided among themselves as well. This was a light drama I admit (but it was great in it's light genre) so I would never compare it to my other (so far) top picks like GTO, Long Vacation, Beautiful life or Friday's lovers all of them held me glued to the screen like nothing I've seen before. So yeah maybe I was a bit generous to give it a 10, but then I would never associate JDramas to Love Boat either hehe.
