That's true too, but it's quicker downloading than waiting 2 weeks for a CD to come from overseas

I'm with you. That would really speed up the downloading process from the snail's pace of BT. I suppose that is what Gigashare was and it was a welcome straightforward download center. You could actually download an entire series in a couple of days even with the slow download access from Verizon (768).

With the FTP server I use, I can download complete dramas in just a few hours.

I'm seriously considering buying one of those packages: for $10 for 2 years, you can't go wrong. I've discovered a PHP remote Bit Torrent client that you can install on a server, which will download torrents to that server for you. Then you could just download them to your own comp via FTP at your leisure - and at a time that suits you (i.e. me, with my download limits) and not have to worry about leaving your home comp on for days while waiting for a torrent to finish.

Indeed you must have a very high speed DSL or cable connection.
When I d/l from say Gigashare I get almost the top speed of my DSL unlike BT where it's almost like dial up.... but unfortunately my top DSL speed is the slowest that Verizon offers.... on the other hand it's very cheap. Verizon only offers two speeds. I will most likely cut out a couple of Asian Buffets a month and get the high speed Verizon DSL soon. I just have to go through severe Asian Buffet withdrawal before I can make the upgrade.

My daughter bought one of those packages and I have my home page on it as in the 2nd link below. However there are some restrictions on bandwidth usage which when exceeded can cost you extra... don't know how much.
